For the drinkers, what's your current drink ''de jour''?

Summer time... Micro brew of some type or sapphire gin and tonic ... Winter hot apple cider and spiced rum, red wine

favorite beer: lagunitas maximus ipa
it's damn hot, trolling for blues and need a beer: PBR

My favorite mixed drink right now is the moscow mule. Vodka, ginger beer and lime juice.

This is what I'm currently sipping. Very smooth. It was a Christmas gift.

Very good scotch above.

My go to drink in Macallan 12 single malt scotch, neat. I will drink this over any borboun. Not that I don't like bourbon, single malt scotch is so much better.

When I am on the boat or beach, beer. Any kind.

Thanks for the heads up @Louigi. I'll have to pick up a bottle next time.

I don't drink liquor straight because I'm not an alcoholic (yet) and am over 30. For me, I would have to be one or the other. That's just a personal thing though. I just drank so much of it (mainly Wild Turkey) with no mixer when I was younger I think I would go into convulsions or something if I did it now. I have some friends who do though (who are alcoholics, which is ok).

That brown ale GSD posted looks ridiculously good.

Original Coors and moonshine with an ever so slight hint of grape.

Do you buy it or make it yourself? It’s cool if you’re not comfortable answering; I’m just curious. It’s a lost art that I’ve wanted to learn more about for the longest time. I bought some a couple years ago. It wasn’t easy to find, in fact I got it from a friend that knew someone that made it and sold it. Not someone that I knew personally. I was hesitant to try it.

Third party buy. My best friend is an ex ALE agent and still knows a couple makers. JoCo shine is the best East of Wilksboro imho, but harder to find nowadays with urban sprawl and all that shit. Makers down east just can’t hide like them boys in the mountains.

They sell shine in the liquor stores here now but I'm not sure what restrictions are on it. I used to date a girl whose dad made homemade wine. It was really good.

I’m close to a functioning alcoholic. I drink a lot. Rarely get drunk but drink almost every evening. My go-to choices:

Red wine - mostly burgundy or Barolo. Mix in red zins or other misc French wines for regular choices. Drink lots of other stuff too. Growing the cellar at the moment.

Vodka - Chopin is my preferred choice. With soda or a dirty martini. Bloody Mary’s and salty dogs for hangovers

Tequila- don Julio reposado or 1942 neat

Scotch - macallan 12 is the every day scotch. I like Balveine aged in rum barrels.

Bourboun - Basil Hayden is my favorite. Love Blantons too.

Beer - I like it still but don’t drink much of it these days. Drinking a bourbon barrel stout tonight, but it’s rare I have beer these days

Oh, I drink every evening. I didn't know that made me an alcoholic though.

Wheat beers and whites, spiced ales, sours, saisons, or the occasional lager. I like exploring new beers and expanding my go to list.

Whiskey fan too. Only chase it if I'm really trying to get fukked up on something cheap though.

There's so much awesome going on in this video.

1) Girl is trashy hot.
2) When she goes to pour the bitters there's nothing in the bottle.
3) She muddles the mixture so hard that every bottle on that cheap card table shakes.
4) Just wait until she pours the "three ounces" of bourbon. Three ounces, lol.
5) Mixing between two differently-sized glasses creates exactly the disaster you'd expect, which of course could've been avoided if she had any concept how much an ounce is.

3 ounces you say, hun?

- How many guys have one night stands have you had this year?

- 3

- So your three means 9, correct?
