I wanna take the Bears tonight +3.5. Anyone have any feel for the total @41?

Also, betting on USMNT ML with several units.

Yeah it's a bad payout, but:
1. USMNT needs this win to qualify for the World Cup, and Trinidad is already eliminated, so they have limited motivation.
2. #Merica

Last night, I won twice on the Astros. Once on the ML, and then again in the 8th when I put a bet on Astros winning by -1.5

For the college game, (#BetTheOver) I had Western Michigan -4, the over, and a teaser of the two..........was sitting pretty until Western decided to go full retard and allow CMU 21 unanswered points to lose.

I threw a unit on the over in the Bruins/Knights game tonight just for action.

Trying to figure out what to do with the NFL game, but not sure what I like. Thoughts?
I don't bet NFL cuz I always lose. I play the midweek college games and win at a pretty high clip. I'll poast my thoughts on tonight once I do my research

Okay @Hark_The_Sound_2010 @toophly1124

Toledo -7.5
Ball State +24
Navy -7.5
Troy -18.5

And the over in every game except the Ball State game (not betting that o/u)

Cool, I'll probably dabble in some of these. By the way, I haven't been getting notifications when I've been tagged in threads for some reason.

I wish that for once I was faster than my book on a major injury. As soon as the Watson news broke I went in planning to hammer Colts +14 or whatever it was but the line had already been taken down. I wonder if the major books have worked out a deal with the NFL (and other major leagues) where they get notified of any news that's considered "line swinging" a few minutes before it gets made public.

K, so I did worse last night than I've done in awhile, so if y'all don't want to roll with me on these, I'll understand. I will shamelessly say I feel pretty good about these because for obvious reasons (gambling) I've seen several Tulane, Marshall, and Memphis games this year lol.

Marshall +7
Memphis -15
Memphis/Tulsa Under 80
Utah -7

I'M BACK BAYBAY! I hope y'all rode with me on all these.

The Marshall cover (most lines for them were at +6.5) was a thing of beauty. Marshall was down 30-16 with 8 minutes left. They march down the field on a crazy drive. They fake a punt on 4th down and get the first. Then they get two more first downs on 3rd down because of defensive penalties to extend the drive. They finally score to cut it to 30-23. Then, Lane Kiffin has his team run out of the back of the endzone on a punt attempt with :12 seconds left to cut it to a 5-point margin. Marshall covers

SVP had that on his bad beats section of SC at night (only ESPN show worth watching these days).

I was on the Celtics and under which worked out well. Got in on Miami for tomorrow when they were +115, also have some home dogs in the big 10 (per SVPs recommendation).

Do tell on the home dogs. And yes I love bad beats.

For the noon games:

Michigan State +10
Texas A&M +15
Florida ML
Vandy -10.5

South Carolina +24
Iowa+20

South Carolina and Iowa are 3:30, sorry. The first four are noon. Gonna see how I do on these before betting ones later in the day.

ETA: Fukk.....Bovada has Vandy -13 ..... whatever. Still rolling with it.

the books are the FIRST ones to know when an injury occurs, long before the media or public.

unless you're a coach, media member or player standing there when the injury happens, you will not have an opportunity to get a bet in before a line adjustment (yes, those bets happen regularly).

For the noon games:

Michigan State +10 Win
Texas A&M +15 Push
Florida ML Lose
Vandy -10.5 Win

South Carolina +24 Win
Iowa+20 Win

Also took Clemson -9.5 and of course, worthless Moo backdoored cover.

Tonight, I'm going with:

Teaser Alabama/LSU over with Miami/VT under
VT +2
VT ML
Teaser VT / Alabama spread

I like VT a lot tonight lol.

So I'll throw my hat into the ring here. Nice to see a bunch of fellow degenerates.

I've been a heavy CBB gambler for about 7 years now with the claim to fame being a 68% season in 2011-12 (followed it up with a 44% 12-13 season so there's both sides to the coin). Last year I went about 59% and I do a TON of research preseason then before each game I bet. I also have two very close family members who play for major D1 programs and get a ton of intel on those teams specifically. When people say "I got a guy", I'm usually that guy for CBB. Take it for what it's worth, just here to help if I can :)

My top rule is no bets while drunk (obvious but SO difficult on weekends). I put them in after about an hour research in the morning then don't touch it for the rest of the day.

Some things I'm looking at before the season starts:

- A&M, Auburn, Ga Tech, UCLA could be messes. Going to look to grab some points in their early games. Love WVU to stomp A&M tomorrow (assuming that line will be under 5).
- I'm going heavy against UNC with JB out. Don't need to elaborate to a bunch of UNC fans on that one.
- Teams I like more than Vegas (first month or so since they return upperclassman): UVA, Cincy, ND, St. Bonnies, Xavier, Vermont, Montana St, Charleston at home, Harvard (beat URI in a scrimmage), Rutgers, GA Southern.
- Teams I like less than Vegas: UK, URI, Michigan, Gonzaga, Alabama, USC, TCU.

Let's make some money.

Ah, very nice. This is a great ticket towards picking winners, please don't hesitate to share some of these inside details with us in this thread if you're feeling in the giving mood and want to throw us handicappers without an inside connection a bone every once in awhile.

Great to know. Agreed on going against UNC with Berry out - I imagine Vegas will underrate his importance to the team in the early going. Also agreed that the extra curricular stuff at some of those schools may impact them - maybe toss Louisville into that list given everything they've gone through recently. Not sure how much some of it will be priced in though.

I always like UK less than Vegas. Hell, Vegas probably likes UK less than Vegas but they have to artificially boost their lines because they probably have the biggest fan base of gamblers that will throw money on UK regardless of spreads/odds

I feel like they are the most predictable team in CBB over the past 3-4 years. You know which games they will get up for and which ones they will look past. One of those rare teams where even the talking heads get the term trap game correct with some spots on their schedule.

one of the main rules of all long term successful sports bettors ... but the rule most often broken by losing bettors.
