If UNC, Kansas, and Duke make it to the Final Four, and the Heels win the first game, do we pull for Duke or Kansas in the next game. Kansas has Roy's number, and is the number 1 overall seed. They would be the hardest team we have faced all year. We would have a much better chance of winning the title if we faced Duke, and we would all get to witness the dream matchup. However, the downside of this is Duke would have a chance to win a second straight national title, and the media would become insufferable if they won it again. What do you think?

I will never pull for dook for any reason.
Anyone who would pull for dook is nuts. Aside from the fact they are dook, IF we ever have to play them for the title it will be an absolute dog fight from start to end and we ALL know how the media and refs love some dook. Can you imagine the calls that they might get away with in a title game against us? And the media would be slobbering all over themselves at the thought of K getting another back to back title with his "severely handicapped" team (with ONE guy out), especially if he were to beat us.

First the concept of pulling for duke does not ever come in to my thinking, so no freakin way I pull for duke in anything. Second, ot be the man ya have to beat the man and right now the #1 seed, who would be considered the man is Kansas. For me no matter who we play if we get that far I will savor it but nothing would top beating the assumed best team out there, so yeah, if we get that far then I want us to play Kansas and may the better team win.
You know honestly if I had a brother that was stupid enough to go to dook and play basketball I would have a hard time pulling for them and I know for damn sure if I went his game I would never put a Dook shirt on!

I've often said, if Duke were playing al Qaeda I would be wearing a turban with a allah Akbar tee shirt, but since Calipari has gone to UK, I actually root for Duke when they play UK. Didn't work out well this year...

Not sure if you are shaking your head at me, but I was just trying to say that I know he would dread having to play that game. I can't imagine he would want to play KU under any circumstance and playing them for the title would be the worst.
Don't believe there is a coach alive that would "dread" playing in the FINALS no matter who the opponent is.
I guess I should have clarified that he would dread his opponent being KU and not the actual game. Of course he would want to play in the championship game.

Answered the easy question with we are Tar Heels and Tar Heels NEVER EVER under any circumstances pull for duke. So what is that hard question?
While you are correct that UNC fans should never pull for Duke in any circumstance, I think the OP's question is fairly interesting. I would be more confident in winning against Duke than Kansas in the title game.
And if UNC won against Duke for the national championship, we as fans would hold the ultimate trump card to end all disputes as to who is the better team ad infinitum (or at least until the next time the teams meet in the title game). That's powerful stuff.
