Hark_The_Sound_2010's weekend homework assignment

You and @heelz2345 are dead to me lol. Go take your Coen Bros movie reviews to a new thread.
Sorry man, like I said, I really like this movie, I just would have those others ahead of it. So in the context of the thread I had to say slightly overrated just because it isn't my personal favorite of the Coen Brothers, but it's a movie that if I see it's on I'm generally stopping on it. If this was the CFP though, I still have it in there. Just wouldn't be the #1 seed

We should just be thankful so many diverse movies are even made for all of us to enjoy! We are free in that we can like what we want to and not like things as well and IT'S OKAY! ;) I cannot see me ever watching a Lord of the Rings movie or Harry Potter but I am happy that people do enjoy them and really get into them so much. I think it is neat when people get super involved in the characters and are biting their nails waiting on the next one. I love that even though I don't watch those movies myself.

Strum and I watched an old movie last night that had me in tears and I had never seen it before because I knew it would get to me like it did but glad I watched it anyway. Now I need to see a really, really funny movie I have never seen.... :-| suggestions? I want one that will make me stop breathing because I am laughing so hard too! lol

You are on the wrong forum. I have a map of Middle Earth hanging on my wall at my apartment and another OOTB poaster is married to a woman named after one of the prominent LOTR female characters.

I know I know, I'm cool.

See? that was my point! I LOVE that people get that involved in these movies! I think that is very cool even though I have no idea what you are talking about! LOL

It's kind of hard to suggest without knowing what you have seen or like as far as comedies go. Do you like stupid comedies (dumb and dumber, Billy Madison, etc.) or are you more of a serious comedy (Fargo, Funny People, etc.) person?

I'm glad I'm not the worst with movies in this thread. I thought I was pretty bad, but never having seen The Big Lebowski or LOTR? Wow, that's impressive.

Although I haven't even heard of, much less seen, some of the movies listed here... Raising Arizona? Hudsucker? The Ladykillers? Are these made up movie names now?

You've never heard of Raising Arizona? I'm putting you in the fail at life group with THN.

I guess stupid ones. Some movies that made me laugh were The Jerk, Any Gene Wilder comedy, This is 40, Heartbreak Kid, Knocked Up, etc. I am not a HUGE Jim Carrey fan but did watch Dumb and Dumber and it was a bit goofy for me but still funny too. I love movies with Paul Rudd in them! haha cutie pie he is!

Oh yeah, and that one about Mary, forgot the name of it, with Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller. "There's something about Mary" ????

I just looked it up, and I get a pass because it came out before I was born.
You just cemented yourself in that group with THN. It's going to take a lot for you to get back into the circle of trust.

Raising Arizona was basically the movie that put the Coen Brothers on the map. Nicolas Cage is the lead and it's made in the era where Nicolas Cage being the lead is not a sure sign the movie is gonna suck. He plays a petty criminal who marries a police officer and then kidnaps a baby after they can't have any.

The Hudsucker Proxy and The Ladykillers aren't as generally beloved as some of the rest of the Coen filmography, but have their moments. The Ladykillers has Tom Hanks, so it's got that going for it, which is nice.

I cannot see me ever watching a Lord of the Rings movie
And here I've been trying so hard to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Wait a minute, people who were named after LOTR characters are old enough to get married? When did I get old?
You're better than this.

Like I previously said, you fail at life. LOTR is garbage.
You're not. I expect this from you.

By the way, I've never seen Lord of the Rings either.

Y'all are in luck. I have arrived to set the record straight on several things discussed in this thread.

1 - OBWAT is not overrated or underrated. It's rated right where it should be rated. It's a fantastic movie.

2 - Lebowski, Raising Arizona, Fargo and OBWAT are the best Coen movies and you can put them in any order you like.

3 - Burn After Reading was good but not in the same league as the other Coen movies being discussed. If I need a 5th for my top 5 Coen movies, I'll take Intolerable Cruelty. If for no other reason than Catherine Zeta Jones looks hotter in that movie than any woman has ever looked in any other movie.

4 - LOTR is strictly for kids under the age of 15 and geeks.

5 - Office Space is slightly overrated. It's a funny movie. But it's not as good as some folks make it out to be. It's not a top 10 comedy for me yet some people act like it's the funniest movie ever. It's a classic "cult following" film. Those who love it, really, really love it.

There. That's all settled now.

And there ya have it folks! HE has spoken! You forgot to rate the best chick flicks though. I KNOW you watch them. tehe

Let's see it.
I don't have a picture of it physically hanging on my wall, but below is the high resolution image I used to print the file. We have a wide-format digital printing press here at the small manufacturing business I work for, and yours truly runs the print department. My first act of learning the machine and everything was to print this bad boy on a sheet of .125" thick white expanded PVC. The finished product turned out really good -- even the smaller lettering is crisp and legible.

I wouldn't say it is a top 10 comedy either, but you gain a new appreciation for it once you get your first office job.

Hey, then you might know a thing or two about 3D printing. If so, @strummingram has a few questions LOL
