Howz Ur Weather . .

Will hold you to it. I have a connection on tickets if you need them! If you have seen the commercial by State Farm with the old guy with the fishing pole and the dollar? The State Farm agent in the commercial is a friend of mine and gets me tickets!
Absolutely, and it'll be the good stuff. Fingers crossed the Heels make it this season. They're pre-season #6 according to D1Baseball.com.

I just figured we would all stay in @Raising Heel's RV.
Don't joke about this. We could make it happen. The dinette is way too small for an adult to sleep on, and I'm probably going to replace the (also too small to sleep on) sofa with recliners, but when the slide is out there is enough room on the floor for at least 2 guests. Plus 2 in the overhead bunk.

I used to live in Bellevue, just south of Omaha when I was a kid. Latchkey kid. My brother and I had a season pass to the Henry Doorly Zoo and would hang out there all the time. Would be a trip to re-visit the place 40 years later.
It's a really good zoo to be way out here.

Well, if @nctransplant has the tickets covered and you've got the place to stay all I need to do is fly out there. Hey @nctransplant, what's the closest airport? Wait, does Nebraska even have an airport or do I have to ride in via horseback?

Omaha, 5 minutes from the stadium! Then horse to the stadium.
Cool, I actually just found a picture of it.

That's really not far off. It's small. We usually either fly out of there or Denver. I hate Denver it's YYYuge.
Denver's airport looks cool though. I've had a layover there a few times. Looks like a bunch of tipis when you're flying in. The conspiracy theories about it are awesome too.

I'm in Charlotte, where the original forecast of less than 1 inch has quickly become "whoops we really missed on that one." There's about 3-4 inches of snow on my patio table and it's still coming down.

Anybody ever used a leaf blower on snow? cc: @UNC71-00 I'm thinking about giving it a shot to see what happens.

I'm working from home. It's awesome. I sleep in, hang out in my "quitters", and take a shower whenever I damn well feel like it. Cooked an entire package of bacon this morning for the rest of the week, made an omelette, and then threw some chili in the crockpot. Nom nom nom.

I think the blower will work on powder, but not so much on this wet stuff. I dunno though, I have never really tried. Take some video and let us know how it goes.

It is really wet snow here. Got about 5-6" down now and supposed to fall steady for another 6 hours

I don't do well when I attempt to work from home. Let's just say I am not a "self-starter", lol. Nothing much gets done.

70 degrees here today.
I'll be RVing down to Florida the first week of February. Tried finding something in the Keys but lolololol you really have to plan ahead and/or pay $125 to be crammed into a tiny spot so had to nix that idea. Found a nice waterfront RV park with a dog park (score!) for $25 a night. I'm gonna sit in my lawn chair, read, drink some beers, and watch the world go by for a while. Oh, and not freeze my ass off.

@Raising Heel Seriously, how do you manage to vacation for a living?

Just today I think you've mentioned Florida, Upstate New York, and Omaha for the CWS.
LOL. I've been hoarding days off for about a year. Also, I have a decent amount of flexibility with work. They let me "work remotely" after my brother was in a wreck and we spent a week in a hotel in Colorado before he was well enough to travel.

I'm going to try working from the RV for the first time on the Friday of my Florida trip. Either going to tether my phone or just use a MiFi hotspot for data*. If all goes well, it could open the possibility to work remotely from the road more frequently. I've already gotten approval to work a non-traditional schedule, e.g. noon to 9 pm, that would allow me to either travel during the day or go out and explore whatever area I happen to be in. It helps that I planted the seeds for this over two years ago. I've spent that time proving myself to be a dependable employee so that helps, too.

* @TarHeelNation11 (and other OOTB tailgaters): the MiFi hotspot is the solution to watching TV at the tailgates. We can stream everything via Sling TV or the Watch ESPN app. There are other options, but this is the easiest since I just buy the thing and put it on a monthly data plan.
