Howz Ur Weather . .

Did you get @Raising Heel to do it for you?

LOL. I've been hoarding days off for about a year. Also, I have a decent amount of flexibility with work. They let me "work remotely" after my brother was in a wreck and we spent a week in a hotel in Colorado before he was well enough to travel.

I'm going to try working from the RV for the first time on the Friday of my Florida trip. Either going to tether my phone or just use a MiFi hotspot for data*. If all goes well, it could open the possibility to work remotely from the road more frequently. I've already gotten approval to work a non-traditional schedule, e.g. noon to 9 pm, that would allow me to either travel during the day or go out and explore whatever area I happen to be in. It helps that I planted the seeds for this over two years ago. I've spent that time proving myself to be a dependable employee so that helps, too.

* @TarHeelNation11 (and other OOTB tailgaters): the MiFi hotspot is the solution to watching TV at the tailgates. We can stream everything via Sling TV or the Watch ESPN app. There are other options, but this is the easiest since I just buy the thing and put it on a monthly data plan.

You can get unlimited data plans too. Hotspot/MiFi is my primary internet now.

Hahaha, would he really not go on the snow? That's crazy. My mom's English Cream Retriever loves the snow. She just goes outside and sits in it and smiles, like it's a warm summer day or something. Crazy bastard
He'd go, but he's not a fan. Basenjis are short-haired dogs from the African Congo, i.e. the equator. I'm just trying to help the kid out.

I'll be RVing down to Florida the first week of February. Tried finding something in the Keys but lolololol you really have to plan ahead and/or pay $125 to be crammed into a tiny spot so had to nix that idea. Found a nice waterfront RV park with a dog park (score!) for $25 a night. I'm gonna sit in my lawn chair, read, drink some beers, and watch the world go by for a while. Oh, and not freeze my ass off.
I can't help for sites in the keys, but if I know some around me on the beach that cool. Just don't look during Daytona 500 week.

Damn snow is taking forever to melt here and now the high Saturday has dropped from 60 to 47. So it is really screwing with my golf plans. My buddies want to go to Nashville and do Top Golf. Anyone have any experience with it?

Really expensive but it's fun enough. Won't really scratch your golf itch though.

I used to have a treadmill but got rid of it because it's just got boring as hell. I use a rowing machine now. Highly recommended.

Really no substitute for getting in your miles if you're trying to build up your running. But a rowing macine plus a treadmill could make for some disgusting circuit workouts

Yeah, not sure I'm going to do it. I need to play golf right now. Plus, I'll miss the UNC game to play Saturday. No problem with that at all. Not sure it is worth missing it to do the Top Golf thing. I'll do it some other time when I am not so desperate to play.

Does that mean we experienced a snowhole?

ended up with 8" in guilford co.

they were originally predicting 1-2
I wonder if meteorologists ever get annual employee reviews and their bosses are like, "One more screw up like that and you're fired." This is the whole reason everybody freaks the **** out and buys up all the milk, bread, and eggs whenever there are flurries in the forecast.

I'm "working" from home again today. It's finally melting off the streets so will have to go back in tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm enjoying the chili I made yesterday and considering taking a shower at some point, lol.

yeah, working remote again today too; but I do need to get the driveway cleared off, otherwise it's liable to be a sheet of ice tomorrow... dammit.

I came into the office today. Roads are clear, for the most part around here, as long as you stay on the main roads. I told the people under me to stay home if they don't feel comfortable driving though, because I'm such a nice guy and everything. It's just me and two other people here. It's kind of nice.

Got to 54 here today. My high school coach and one of my assistants from back home are here bird hunting. We splayed the quail and pheasants today. Golf tomorrow and taking them back out Saturday.
