I was going to make it a poll, but realized I'd probably leave out some things that belong on a Coach's Report Card. So I'll just list a few that I think belong and ask you guys to add the rest. After a while, if there's enough interest, I'll try to consolidate that list into 10 report card assessments.

Player Development
Roster Construction
Pre-Game Preparation
Halftime Adjustments
In-Game Adjustments
Xs and Os
Game Closeouts
Maintaining Team Moral, Spirit and Commitment
Handling Player Injuries, Departures, Attitudes and other Disruptions

ALTERNATIVELY, you could just cut and paste my list and add your own grades.

I suggest using the old fashioned ABCDF and I (incomplete) grades; but PASS-FAIL might be easier. Or mix and match.

You could also, if you wish, give him an overall grade.

This is so hard without knowing if or how bad NIL is hurting. Not loving this season but also not sure how much Hubert could control if NIL projections are accurate. Can tell you Ian and Drake really help his perception I would think. If he can get 1 of the 2 guards to hit next year, then things will get easier. Think he and the boosters got stubborn about what playing for UNC meant to high school kids. (Answer: Maybe a small discount but not much.)
And it cost them dearly.

I have been going thru some mental gymnastics over the last couple weeks, the whole season as well to some extent but the last couple weeks have been a bit intense. What I have been exploring is the simple, should Hubert be fired or come back and justification for both sides. You have seen me struggle with this, have posted my thinking here daily and I am determined to wait til the last game we have played this season before coming to my conclusion to that question.

In doing this however, something I simply did not see coming has hit me, a 3rd option... It is an option that as I write this is continuing to evolve at UNC, it is getting my juices flowing again, getting me excited for the future of UNC basketball as well as UNC football, the sleeping giant may be waking up, he may be waking up with a pent up fury unseen by any of us.

2 recent game changing things have occurred recently that are related. First, UNC hired Belichick as our new head coach and he has built out an amazing systematic approach that is a game changer to our football program. The other thing, we got crushed by Duke on the basketball court, leaving everyone asking why. Believe it or not, that crushing beat down by duke may have been the exact tonic UNC basketball needed, not gonna help all that much this season but we are talking about the programs future. That JMU game was the catalyst that brought us to a new day in football, that duke game may have been the very catalyst that takes UNC back to it's rightful place in the sport of basketball. Why, because UNC now realizes that duke had an advantage that UNC did not see the value in, until we got curb stomped, now eyes are wide open and we can not have duke having any advantage over us and they are now ready to do something about it. It appears UNC is ready to do something about this that is that 3rd option and every day I am sold more and more!
