Hypocrisy is overwhelming

One thing i find amusing is how cnn has gone all in on bashing trump with little regard for any semblance of being un biased. Last week they ran the headline "trump mispronounces nevada" as their third story from the top on their phone app. Today there are three negative trump stories all rehashing the locker room talk all ahead of a story about clinton being provided debate questions ahead of time. Lol.
I guess they finally realized that is how they are perceived, so they are going to try to be the next MSNBC. Not sure that's a great strategy since MSNBC only pulls in about 15 viewers.

seriously, you're acting like a pig! What I have said on here is bad and I should not say anything but it is okay for you to talk about your wife working a new job and you wondering how in the world you are going to juggle the kids, whining like a beotch because you have to do some actual work, you know, like women do EVERY F-ING day! okay, got it.... proceed asswipe!

Asking for suggestions about what I should put in my kids' lunch is a little different than you repeatedly telling us about your domestic violence situation...if indeed that even really happened.

Secondly, how do you feel about the exclamation point?

I understand, but it goes both ways. If it bothers you, then just ignore it instead of getting into an argument with them.

I don't think anyone on here is a complete ass. Most of these arguments happen on political and religious threads. I always give people a little leeway on those types of issues because most people are very emotional about that and have strong opinions on those issues. Outside of those types of threads the OOTB posters usually get along and there isn't much personal stuff normally. It's hard for me to judge someone I've never met, so I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not necessarily condoning it, but if you and the other posters want to go at it I'm not going to stop you. You guys are adults and you can say whatever you want.

You do make some good points. I agree. It just burns me up when I have to hear about or see someone treating other women badly in any way, degrading them or treating like they are only here on earth for their pleasure. Women are SO much more, as a lot of you on here know, clearly because I can see just from reading things you say that you respect and appreciate women... some it seems like do not and if they do, it is only a select few for them that they do respect.

I can take a beating from these guys and others I may meet but I don't want it to happen to other women. Thanks for your advice. I do need to just chill out. I cannot change them, so not sure why I'd even want to.

Well, Satan is a figure from mythology. So, that automatically puts you in the former camp. However, I don't think you'd qualify in that one either, because, from what I've seen, you're way out of the closet.

Well if Satan was real, I should have said! LOL I knew he'd agree with that one. I'm done with him. ;) not worth the time

You're right. They are also here to make sandwiches. ;)

The first 90% of this video, which is a compilation of Trump on Howard Stern, is how I thought of Donald Trump before his political career.

But from 1:41 to the end is really awful. He really shows what he's capable of and how he sees his role in these situations to be perfectly fine.

Why is it cute to belittle that reality? What point are you trying to make? You're offering this for a reason. I ask you both to respond since you've been dropping this chum in the water for a while now.

Just having fun with the group. I only offer this because certain folks here who pioneer this belief (ahem, when it's convenient to do so) contradict it completely when someone disagrees with them.

Other than that, no real point in mentioning. I am secretly auditioning for the job opening at South Park Studios to find humor in these situations. This board is merely practice. Carry on.

Certain folks?

ETA: If you're referring to me- you're right, I do. If you're implying that you're ready to go that course, let's go. I'm right here with you.

Wasn't referring to you. I could be wrong, but my impression is you just like to be the board's devil's advocate. I know you lean pretty far left and just get under people's skin b/c the debate just never seems to end. No matter how strong someone's point, you'll find an angle to counter...whether off base or not. On some level, I can respect that. So, no beef here. FWIW

"A joke is a display of humour in which words are used within a specific and well-defined narrative structure to make people laugh. It takes the form of a story, usually with dialogue, and ends in a punch line. It is in the punch line that the audience becomes aware that the story contains a second, conflicting meaning. This can be done using a pun or other word play such as irony, a logical incompatibility, nonsense or other means."

I guess we've been wrong all this time! This guy is far better than someone who had emails deleted that were probably hiding info about the elite rich who are in bed with the banks. Wait, he's rich too and been accused of sneaky business practices too. Welpppp we izz screwed if we don't get this womanizing dickless idiot in office. We need him!!!

Okay... I didn't get the joke. I guess because I believe that we CAN achieve that. My bad.

I wanna personally thank 2010 ans 0190 for allowing me to stay off your ignore list.

Maybe that's why he was allowed in the dressing rooms while the women were in there.

It's okay... all of this is just locker-room-talk. Actually, this IS locker room talk. Because we're all talking about how crude and unacceptable it is for a person to think they're entitled to do this.

Locker room is turning into a euphemism for "privacy" in this whole thing.. What I say in private should not be something I'm accountable for in public. Which IS a valid point. Except.... with The Donald, he isn't making these comments private. If they were, we wouldn't be listening to them all over the world! he says them too often, in too many places for this to be private material. He obviously has these attitudes as a part of his "normal" understanding.

If LBJ, JFK, FDR and others had the same attitudes, that's their problem and our fault for letting them get away with it. maybe it wasn't considered inappropriate THEN. But, obviously that standard has changed.

"Get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand. For the times, they are a'changin'"

Social Media.

That's your answer. I would promise you former leaders were muzzled to the public and nothing could leak out without those in the room doing so, and even still, the news would be slow to travel. So, this isn't an apples-to-apples comparison.

It's as close to apples as we can get from a "then and now" comparison. And, the fact is, we have it NOW, so we're forced to deal with it.

I realize a lot of you guys are "conservatives". So, I'd ask you how you felt if you heard Obama on tape saying this stuff and be honest about your reply. I would be equally appalled. I'm not obligated to defend some left or right political/social alliance.

You know, we should have seen all the racist crap coming when Donald went on a tirade years ago thinking Obama wasn't an American. Those second amendment folks should've took care of Donald then.....ughhhhh.

(being facetious)

I am conservative, but not to the point of being close-minded towards left ideas. I think you have to be able to adapt to the current set of circumstances you're facing and adjust your approach accordingly. More times than not, my belief to those adjustments are on the conservative side of the isle.

If Obama were caught in these videos, my reaction would be the same, actually. I would find it hypocritical to judge his leadership abilities on a private conversation that, IMO, was just two dudes joking around.

You really think that was just two dudes joking around???? I have always respected your input here and still do but I hope you don't believe that. Don't you have a daughter? Billy Bush and Howard Stern may have been joking around but I absolutely have no doubt that Donald abuses his power and wealth. He boasts about everything and it is frightening to think that some of you don't see him as the man he is. If he gets a pass on talking this way, you can count on things in the future you will not want to deal with coming.

This will just green light pervs into thinking it's okay for them to do the same. We will be hearing about coaches inspecting the middle school locker rooms because they can and goodness knows what else. This could be setting us up for some really bad things. I'd just ask you to take a deeper look. I'm not saying vote for Hillary because that's not a good option either but we do need to consider the message we will be sending and hopefully do things to protect our women from men like him.

I think it was two dudes joking around... at first. I think it was two dudes who have a warped sense of themselves joking around, who happen to be public figures/celebrities, and think they have a sort of phantom privilege to do this. Donald was clearly a mentor-type to Billy Bush. They were "joking around" about what they actually do! It, then, actually leaves the joking around status when they get off the bus and begin to play-out what they were joking about!

I do believe that, but I also recognize how - from a 'chick's' perspective - you wouldn't be able to understand that. Look, I do not believe that Trump is even remotely the type of person that I aspire to be - if there were a candidate close to that in this entire race, it would have been Ben Carson. If you're comparing the wrongdoings of these two candidates, I S-T-R-O-N-G-L-Y believe Hillary's are far, far worse. Just because they are being swept under the rug doesn't discount that they actually occurred.

As for my daughters, they will be just fine, I promise you. My siblings and I were put through martial arts / karate courses when we were in elementary school, we were taught how to handle fire arms if we need to, etc....and my daughters will get the same. We are very firm in the belief that they need to protect themselves, and others if need be - at a young age - in the event an adult is not around. This is nearly more important to me than the education they receive, to be honest.

This will just green light pervs into thinking it's okay for them to do the same.

I actually think this incident will have the opposite effect. The social backlash to this has been anything BUT accepting. Aside from the very small percentage who see this as harmless banter, it is clearly unacceptable.. Now, THOSE few who are okay with it; they might appear to be green-lighting it, but I think to whatever extent this was perceived as "okay", it has taken a huge swing to "not okay."

Jesus Christ. Go off the deep end much? From what I gathered trump didn't have a knife sooooo throw that lil idiotic statement out the window. I women let a man kiss them whatever just bc he's rich then yea that's consent. Nobody is holding a gun (or knife) to their head. You may want to rethink how dumb what you posted sounded.

Holy hell I can't believe you took trump saying "women LET ME do whatever bc I'm rich" and equated it to a rapist holding a knife to someone's throat. That's as far fetched as far fetched gets.

You're the one who made this idiotic statement:

You can walk up and grab them by the pussy" "they LET you do whatever" (that part is a quote). Which brings me to my question ...he said they LET you... no matter WHY they let you but if they LET you in my eyes that is consent

"...no matter WHY they let you but if they LET you in my eyes that is consent..."

So it doesn't matter to you what power the man has over the woman...if she LETS him, she's consenting. I don't think it's possible to make any dumber claim than that. Hell, rapists will tell you EVERY F'N DAY that she "wanted it"...that she "let him". And here you are saying it doesn't matter WHY she let him. That's just mind-bogglingly stupid.

1 - Oh,...I see what the issue is. You must think that I give a shit what your opinion is about, well...anything. Let me clarify - I don't. And you're doing exactly what I and others have chastised Chick for doing which is jumping in the Kool-aid without knowing the flavor. We've all been here over the past 6 months and we've all seen Chick dumping her personal life all over everybody here at this board as if this board is some kind of therapy session. Meanwhile, you've been condescending people at HROT and have no clue as to the "dirty laundry" that she's aired around here. So STFU unless you know what you're talking about and save your opinions and direct your poasts to someone that values your thoughts. Because you're wasting your time with me.

2 - No, I can't. If you feel that any man has violated you in any way, then I support you reporting what happened to you to the proper authorities. I'm very sorry you had to go through that.

I know exactly what I'm talking about. To equate rape with "dirty laundry" is reprehensible and I don't give a f**k what your presumed context is. So...STFU right back at you.

The most interesting thing going on right now is you have a poster saying a woman who "lets' a man abuse her is giving consent...NO MATTER WHY SHE LETS HIM...and you and your fellow asshats are silent. Seriously...STFU.

You are a waste of something...feel free to put me on ignore at any time.

So you don't know the meaning of the word, either. Kinda sad. Not surprising, though. I'll try to limit myself to two-syllable words in the future for your sake. What's brutal is watching you defend a man bragging about sexually assaulting women and trying desperately to cheat on his pregnant wife of five months.

No...not brutal...pathetic.

Lol. I do know the meaning of the word. I merely pointed out that you listed several synonyms of the word - yet not one of them was in the poast you quoted. Therefore you didn't prove anything. And really just wasted people's (granted, not so valuable) time by poasting it.

I also am not defending anything Trump said. I even said in a previous poast that what he said was wrong, bozo. Maybe you have me confused with others. Maybe you're just generalizing and grouping me in with all my fellow poasters (I thought stereotyping and generalizing were no-nos?).

Either way - keep getting all riled up and defensive. It's funny. It actually makes your poasts go from annoying garbage to entertaining garbage. Props!

I don't really think @toophly1124 meant for it to be taken that far. My interpretation of his statement within the context of the conversation was he meant things like letting a guy do it because he is rich, handsome, buys them something, etc. You tend to take things to the extreme sometimes.

I don't really think @toophly1124 meant for it to be taken that far.

Then it's his responsibility to walk it back. That f'n excuse is used every day to justify sexual assault. When Trump walked in on naked and near-naked teenage girls (as young as 15)...were they "letting" him because he was rich? Because they wanted an old man in their dressing room? Or was it because they didn't want to piss off the guy who owned the pageant they had worked hard to compete in? Does that last one equal "consent"? Does The Donald saying "they let him" make it alright for him to do whatever he likes?

You might want to bring this one up with @strummingram . He made some good points in the debate about whether men/women/others should be able to use whichever locker rooms they pleased, that locker rooms aren't places where anything deviant can happen unless it was already going to happen elsewhere. And that people shouldn't really be censoring their naked bodies anyways.

Exactly. It's called being a whore. Allowing someone to have their way with you in return for money or favors. Being a whore and allowing someone to fondle you is not sexual assault.

Kind of like the Bernie supporters who now intend to vote for Clinton. They too are whores- they are giving up their principles which led them to Bernie to begin with and hope to receive some favor in the future from Hillary.

Unfortunately for the Bernie supporters though is that the Clintons only deal in cash. She will screw them over without a second thought because in her mind, she was always entitled to their votes anyways.
