Kennedy blocks their best player to nail the lid on Gonzaga's coffin in the championship win.

Big Meeks is still my MOP of the Final 4. Dude laid it all on the line and did whatever we needed to secure the wins! Need a block? Big Meeks will get ya one. Need a steal? Right there with it again. How bout 9-10 boards, 4-5 on your offensive end? Kennedy kan do. Need a few FTs or a big bucket? Big Meeks at your service!

I was going to say the same thing. Final 4 MOP!

If you look at efficiency and total Positives vs Negatives in the last 2 games Kennedy was The Man. He pretty much carried the team in the win over Oregon. 11-13 for 25 points and 14 rebounds, EIGHT of them Offensive Boards, 3 steals 1 assist 1 block and ZERO Turnovers. We don't win that game and there is no Championship game. Meeks' numbers were lower in the final, but over 2 games he was clearly our most key player in the final four.

Props to JB for heart and guts and toughness playing on 2 sore ankles.

Meeks is another example of a player who showed a lot of improvement from his freshman to senior seasons. He worked hard to improve his game and ended his UNC career as a national champion.

I'm still curious as to why he wasn't picked MVP by the team to get his jersey up in the rafters. Maybe he specifically told the other players he thought Joel deserved it?
