Well, then that settles it. Feelings don't lie.I have felt good about this for a few months, but not based on any info.

Yeah, I can see he may have doubts about playing his game as a "wing" at Carolina. Im not sure what game that is after watching him last nite. Justin Edwards was clearly the more skilled player. Jackson looks to be athletic but no elite skills in the shooting/ball handling category(which is must for early one and done 6'5" wings).Well he said the school he picked will allow him to play his game and be one and done.. I hope I am wrong, but that seems UK to me
From the reports that I have gathered, he will announce for the good guys. However, it ain't over till it's over, right?I just got a text saying we might get a surprise. Possible? Guess we'll know soon enuff...
Always glad when I’m wrong! Seems like a very articulate young man. GDTBATHGoing by his interviews it really seems like it’s Kentucky. I think it’s 99% them
He just put in a very poor showing against this years #2 pick, Justin Edwards(already going to UK and possibly position competition). That may actually help Huberts cause. Ian Jackson is not a one and done player. He looked like the number 3 player on his own team. Maybe timing has helped Carolina.
He is clearly in one and done mode. Was very transparent with that intention in his recruitment. His "wing" is fully as a 2, if he develops outside of that it will be sparatic positions running a pick up top as a 1. He is hoping to develop his game like Anthony Edwards.Yeah, I can see he may have doubts about playing his game as a "wing" at Carolina. Im not sure what game that is after watching him last nite. Im just hoping him going head/head with Edwards opened his/family's eyes that getting to the court as a freshman is more likely at Carolina. He's not playing over Edwards.
Well wattaya know? My guy was right again. I'll take it.From the reports that I have gathered, he will announce for the good guys. However, it ain't over till it's over, right?
Tremendous recruiting coup by Hubert, no doubt. UK was his dream school. If he's one and done I will be totally stunned based on his current skill set. My money would be on a great 3 years in Carolina blue, and thats great. He is clearly in one and done mode. Was very transparent with that intention in his recruitment. I don't think I see anyone else posting that it would be UNC before I shared mine and had shared why over the couple days before this. I wasn't guessing, well not completely, had a little bit of heads up on a thing the staff knew as to how much Jack valued playing with Cadeau and Wilcher. Don't look for him to play the 2 for us he is going to be a 3 and will have to fight for PT, he knows this, he wants to be coached, he wants to improve his game, Ky was not going to give him that. A major theme that Hubert hit hard on when he was recruiting Jack was that of development, of UNC players improving over time, look at RJ was stated more than once. This kid knows there will be millions flying his way very soon, Antigua tried to buy him, wrong pitch, this kid wants to develop in to the best player his ability allows him, that is more important to him right now than NIL numbers.I think he commits to .... UNC
Lebo doin' workFrom the reports that I have gathered, he will announce for the good guys. However, it ain't over till it's over, right?
Stevenson is the last piece to the monster class. He fills a position of need and is a legacy recruit. Gotta land him and then the class is finished.Boogie isn't deciding until his senior year. By that time, any 2023 reclasses will have happened.
In the meantime, we need to get Jarin Stevenson.
I don't think at this point UNC would be considered the program recruiting Stevenson the hardest, not that we have stopped but I think at this point he feels that he is not a priority for us and frankly, he is right.Boogie isn't deciding until his senior year. Stevenson will not make a decision until the summer and UNC is the clear favorite. While we may not specifically need him, you never want to let a recruit of his caliber go elsewhere and allow another program to get their foot in the door so to speak.I don't think at this point UNC would be considered the program recruiting Stevenson the hardest, not that we have stopped but I think at this point he feels that he is not a priority for us and frankly, he is right.
At this point, we have High coming in next season and Brown in 24. Washington will be a soph when High gets here and a JR when Brown arrives. Looks like we will be very young in our front court other than Jalen, not really including Shaver on purpose. So would you rather we add another freshman or use that scholly in the portal and get a guy with more experience and a more developed body? I think I would prefer we take that shot in the portal than to add Stevenson, just my opinion. I would say I am done with the 24 class and start making relationships for the 25 class and shop the portal to fill in need spots, at least 1 more big man, with some thickness will be needed.

Boogie is not going to happen for us if Cadeau does not reclass and my guess is that now Cadeau stays in 24 with Brown and Jack because the likelihood of Caleb and RJ leaving after this season shrinks every day.
You are 100% wrong about that. He is absolutely a priority for Hubert. He was the first 2024 recruit to receive a UNC offer. He's the only PF who has even received a scholarship offer in the class of 2024. Hubert has been at his school and at his AAU games every single recruiting period the NCAA allows. Thanks to his mom being a UNC women's bball player, and growing up nearby, he's been on campus too many times to count, including unofficial visits since his offer.I don't think at this point UNC would be considered the program recruiting Stevenson the hardest, not that we have stopped but I think at this point he feels that he is not a priority for us and frankly, he is right.
But hopefully we will have veteran leaders like Sr Dunn and Jr's Washington, Nickel and Trimble ans Sopf's Wilcher & High to lead the way as the Freshman stake their own claims to roles. It seems Hubert is not shying away from the projected one and done, step in right away types. This class is shaping up like a recent Duke or Kentucky class.
A good mixture is definitely what we want to see. Yet another reason I want Dunn and Nickel to get minutes now.But hopefully we will have veteran leaders like Sr Dunn and Jr's Washington, Nickel and Trimble ans Sopf's Wilcher & High to lead the way as the Freshman stake their own claims to roles.
Dunn is starting to morph into the comps I thought his career could follow.A good mixture is definitely what we want to see. Yet another reason I want Dunn and Nickel to get minutes now.
Who is going to play the 3/4 though? We have so many 1s and 2s.He is clearly in one and done mode. Was very transparent with that intention in his recruitment. Plus possible 5th year guys RJ and Puff, senior Styles and junior Shaver. Not to mention unlikely 5th year guy Caleb. But hopefully we will have veteran leaders like Sr Dunn and Jr's Washington, Nickel and Trimble ans Sopf's Wilcher & High to lead the way as the Freshman stake their own claims to roles.
