I won a raffle. It was a major award!
True story, when I was in high school, our Boy Scout troop raffled off an autographed UNC basketball. It was the 07 team that went to the Elite Eight. The person who won wasn't present, and my scoutmaster told me to call him up and let him know he had won. So I call him up and say "Hi, I'm with troop 12, you won our raffle for the UNC basketball." He says "Oh, I've already got one, let me ask you son, are you a UNC fan?" I say "Yes sir, I am indeed." And he says "Well, why don't you keep it?" And that's the story of how I got an autographed UNC basketball with most of the players who ended up on our 09 title team.
