“Senior cornerback Patrice Rene went down for the season during last week’s win over Miami and senior center Nick Polino suffered a serious enough injury that there’s no time table for his return. Add to that senior tight ed Carl Tucker, senior defensive tackle Jason Strowbridge and sophomore wide receiver Antoine Green were also absent from Friday’s 24-18 loss at Wake Forest.
That’s five players who started versus the Hurricanes who didn’t play Friday.”
“In addition to the players already noted, reserve redshirt freshman linebacker Matthew Flint is now out for the season and starting right tackle Jordan Tucker and sarting hybrid linebacker Allen Cater suffered injuries Friday night. He briefly returned before leaving the game again.“

If some of these seniors end up taking medical redshirts and coming back next year then this could be a net positive in the long run.

I'm getting tired of all these injuries we've had over the past 2+ years. Someone needs to find out who has the voodoo doll and take it away from them.
Sounds like he did something during the week as it was talked about being a decision that was made after going thru pregame warmups
Personally I think the most important injury so far has been Polino at Center!!!! Seems like the offense has taken a step backwards with their consistency since he was lost in the 1st half against Miami
But, also think of what a healthy Strowbridge could have done in the middle of the line to disrupt that extra slow zone read. With Strowbridge out, Wake's OL could neutralize Crawford. If both played, they both could not have been neutralized.
Nick Polino, Antoine Green, Jason Tucker and Carl Tucker. That's two starters on the OL, starting TE and starting WR.
Polino is likely out for the season. Jason Tucker and Carl Tucker are questionable this week against App State. Those guys are key to us having a run game. Center, especially, has been a question mark.
Patrice Rene, Jason Strowbridge. That's two starters on defense where we don't have much depth.
Rene is done for the year. Strowbridge should be good to go this week.
We knew before the season started that we were going to have a thin margin for error, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating.
It's really going to take a couple cycles to build some depth.
WTBS, play 60 minutes, limit the mistakes and they probably win that game. Same thing goes for App State.

The last few years, from an injury standpoint, have been nightmares for both the football and basketball teams. Damndest thing I’ve ever seen.
