The UNC/duke games have been pretty damn entertaining as well. I think maybe we want to act like it's better because we were the ones on the good end of it. Had we lost, I'm not sure we would have poasted this thread and the duke/UNC games have regularly ended with us on the wrong end over the past 5-7 years.

I actually enjoy watching Kentucky play. I only watch Duke to cheer for the other team. So no! Greatest rivalry in college basketball is UNC vs Duke.

One thing I'll say, many students seem to think the Duke games are much bigger. I was at Carolina Ale House on Franklin Street for the second Duke game this year. Had to wait 25 minutes in line to get in (even though my friends had a table, they were at capacity!), people were sitting on the floor, and we all rushed Franklin after.

Went again for this Kentucky game (and the first one actually). It was a good atmosphere, but there was no line either time and nobody even thought of rushing Franklin. Not sure why as this was a much more important game! That must mean something though.

It's Carolina vs Dook hands down. There's no rivalry like that one.
I will say UNC vs UK is pretty big for me & my family. A loss to UK means we hear about it for MONTHS.

Having been in the Smith Center to watch us play both, it's hands down UNC-Duke as the better rivalry. Granted, I've enjoyed this win because of the stakes as much as almost any game in recent memory, but I would've enjoyed it just as much if we beat UCLA or anyone on the bottom side of our region. I enjoyed the result more than the fact we beat UK.
