even for Scott Frost

If Nebraska with all its major football history seems as likely as not to ever get back to winning big, can UNC hope to ever win big?

Times change. And coaches make huge differences. Nebraskas was not Nebraska before Bob Devaney. Its great run lasted through 2 coaches.

What UNC has that Nebraska does not is a huge number of high quality recruits in its home state and in border states within 300 miles of campus. And the league footprint also includes FL. And UNC's athletics department as a whole is much more successful.

Never made sense that Nebraska was great. Why not Minnesota or Kansas. Scott Frost is a good coach certainly and possibly a great coach. High School talent in Nebraska is limited. Without a steady stream of talent from California, Texas or Florida, the Nebraska program is doomed

Steroids had a lot to do with Nebraska being as good as they were back in the day.

I’d wager they’re still far more prevalent in the game today than most people realize. Testing is kind of a joke, and even an off season cycle can have huge benefits that never completely disappear.

Just look at someone like DK Metcalf. If you think he didn’t use gear to build that physique then you are laughably naive. He’s taking bodybuilder levels of PED’s.
