Denis is taller and significantly more athletic than Dixon.

We're going to lose RJ Davis and Ian Jackson. We're highly likely to lose Drake Powell. If Elliot Cadeau's outside shot comes around, we'll lose him too. We're facing the reality that Seth Trimble may be the only guard we return for the '25-'26 season. We need to replenish our guard talent through recruiting. The staff preferred to get some 5 star talent who was capable of starting and immediately contributing at a high level, but our NIL wrecked that. So the next best option is a couple of guards who are steadily climbing up the rankings and can play multiple positions.

Staff doesn't see it thar way.
We have 3 seniors (RJ, JWit, and Claude), but we likely lose Cadeau and either Ian or Drake. So that's 5 openings.

If Cade does as well here as he did at a lower level, he might go pro, too.

If JWash finally turns the corner, he could move on, as well. And if it's clear he'll never turn the corner, he might be invited to leave.

And who knows who might transfer? Hard to imagine Trimble spending his final season coming off the bench, for example. He could already be starting at a good school, imo. If a starting spot isn't his to lose, at a minimum, he should probably look to showcase himself elsewhere.

Now of course not all 8 of those guys are likely to leave. But half of them certainly could. I'd call it likely. And we already have 2 vacancies. Or 1 if Zayden is expected to return. Is he?

What am I missing?

Glancing at our offers on 247, they list 8 of them as "warm." If we get half of the warm listings, we have 5 - counting Dixon.

That should put us in good shape, assuming all the pieces fit.

A lot. JWash will not be invited to leave, it’s not like we have people standing in line at the 5 spot. Some of your takes are laughable.
