Now I am not that guy that typically credits K with saying the right thing but honestly, his UNC post game was pretty spot on. I am going to give even the devil his due, K, solid comments and respects for them.
Gary assures me our defense was nothing special, and it was all on duke just being a bad team. I will take Gary's analysis over Coach K any day of the week. Now I am not that guy that typically credits K with saying the right thing but honestly, his UNC post game was pretty spot on. Just stop it. That crap of unnecessarily prodding Gary is getting very old.Gary assures me our defense was nothing special, and it was all on duke just being a bad team. I will take Gary's analysis over Coach K any day of the week.
Him not admitting when he is wrong is also getting very old but what can you do.Just stop it. That crap of unnecessarily prodding Gary is getting very old.
And so why is it all that important that gary say he is wrong? IN what way does it help you for someone else to admit they are wrong about a discussion topic? I agree with gary when I agree and I disagree when I don't agree or I just give my own take. Against duke sat for example, gary felt we defended poorly, I didn't agree, I elected to post my own thought of what I saw and felt no need to confront gary or anyone else nor do I need anyone to apologize if I said something counter to what they said. I simply stated my own opinion and explained it, I had no reason or desire to start an argument. Guess what, gary didn't spit flame back at me for stating my opinion, imagine that.Him not admitting when he is wrong is also getting very old but what can you do.
Remember, Platek should be starting over Coby for the Bulls right now.
Don't start bringing common sense and reason to the board. And so why is it all that important that gary say he is wrong? Should it not be enough that someone is comfortable in their own opinions that they do not need someone that views things differently to prostrate themselves before the masses? What is it that you want, only lock step agreement of your view and punishment for those that dare disagree with you? Is it jealousy in that you see several others that actually like what gary brings and you not have that level of respect (not trying to be a jerk in suggesting that, just intended to get you to think why what gary says strikes you as such an issue). It is stuff like this that has brought this cancel culture to us, folks being so thin skinned that they just can not tolerate anyone that dares disagree, cancel them before we have to actually listen to what they believe and be sure to make no effort to understand that other point of view because if you do you risk having your own mind changed... Every coin has 2 sides...
TP, we have (not limited to this site, it is a nation wide problem) a new thing now that was born from the stealth nature of the social internet sites. This thing called a TROLL which is someone that in no way is looking to have reasonable discussion. No, in fact, what they are looking to do, ALL they are looking to do is spark up a controversy and then sit back and watch it blow up, they get their jollys from that in some way I will never understand. They are like virtual arsonists, start a virtual fire and then sit back and watch it burn, it is beginning to be seen as a mental issue for those that enjoy being a troll, kind of sad actually but more irritating than anything else. There is a concern that this kind of thing could morph one day from the virtual world to the real world and that would be a serious concern for everyone.Hindsight is amazingly accurate! BUT the repeated attacks are sophomoric at best!
Why can't peeps simply ignore those they do not want to interact with??? I guess they derive some type of selfish fulfillment from derailing fruitful discussions. Might be something to discuss with their therapists!
I find the fact that a UNC community can't even band together to criticize the rat lord....amazing!
I personally do not care if he admits to being wrong or not, however, it should be understood that he will be called out for it.And so why is it all that important that gary say he is wrong? Did you think I was defending gary? I WAS NOT, gary can defend gary, I was speaking toward those that enjoy starting arguments. You know, like those that prefer to call someone a "gary groupie" that may actually agree with what he shares? I am NO ONE'S groupie, I walk my own path and I think with my own brain...I sometimes wonder who gets more upset when someone brings up Gary, him or the few people who constantly show up to defend him no matter what. Judging by the fact he rarely cares enough to respond, I'm going to say the groupies care more. Suggestion, if he doesn't care enough to respond, then you probably shouldn't either. He's a big boy, he seems to be able to handle the criticism just fine by himself.
It wasn't meant specifically for you. It was directed at a few people. Some who have posted in this thread and some that have, so far, not posted. But, if you felt the need to respond to my post without being tagged, then well...Did you think I was defending gary? And to your point about how Gary "didnt spit flame back at me for stating my opinion", I've seen him do it to others plenty of times.
At the end of the day it really does not matter. Again, it should be understood that he (or anyone for that matter) will be called out when they are wrong and refuses to acknowledge it. Just the way it is.

For someone who is not defending Gary you sure are doing a lot of it.First off, you do care or you would not be talking about it, so at least be honest about this.
Yeah, we have all seen gary flame at others, he is well know for that but tell you what I do not recall, gary spitting flames at someone that has not starting the spit contest. Yeah, gary will go to guns quickly but he does wait until someone else fires the first shot. I am not defending gary by saying that but really, if someone slaps you, do you not respond? Likely your respond will be more harsh than the initial slap you took, that is exactly what gary does.

Someone shouldn't care if someone doesn't admit if they are wrong when they are wrong, but by god you are going to care anytime someone posts something attacking the person who never admits when they are wrong. You are being a hypocrite. Don't tell people to care about what you want them to care about. Maybe you shouldn't care when people take offense to someone who acts holier than thou and posts garbage like blown assists and states how he can do rotations better than a hall of famer, and how backup college players should be starting over nba starting caliber players. And so why is it all that important that gary say he is wrong? The difference between Gary and his antagonists is that Gary doesn't blow up 70% of the threads on this site. He doesn't go looking for the fight like some on here do. He's also not wise enough to just let them go. I actually don't like what I know of him, but I do like to read his opinions. I don't value his opinion any more than I do yours or anyone else's, especially his political ones. This site would just be a lot more enjoyable without the childish sniping. How long has Coby been gone? Why not give it a rest?Someone shouldn't care if someone doesn't admit if they are wrong when they are wrong, but by god you are going to care anytime someone posts something attacking the person who never admits when they are wrong. Get a grip.
Trust me when I say oh boohoo you are upset at people sniping at the pompous person on the internet that acts better than others while also noticing you didn't seem too upset when that same pompous person on the internet was sniping on Coby White for pretty much the entire year.
I guess the pompous person on the internet means more than Coby White though.
Gary burned some bridges with the way he acted towards Coby. He could have chose to try and rebuild those bridges after the way he treated that player who by all accounts is a great person and excelled on the basketball court for our team. Instead, he acted superior and made that fire into an inferno. So be it. Was just a shame that the blown assists magically no longer were tallied when it was sniping at Coby White on how he should not be starting over Platek. = (
He recently drank from the blood bank at DH.Wow! What happened to his pasty white skin tone! He almost looks like he has blood flowing through his veins!
Must have been a night game, no moon out.He recently drank from the blood bank at DH.
I am not defending gary, I assure you, gary and I do not agree all the time, frankly much of the time I don't totally agree with him but I just chose to discuss what we do not agree on rather than look to get in to a conflict. I actually do like gary, I have a lot of friends similar to gary and my buds know, I am going to speak may mind, I am going to say what I think and while I will respect anyone's right to express their own opinion, I am the only one that speaks for me and what I think. Amazing isn't it, my friends actually not only respect that but would have it no other way.For someone who is not defending Gary you sure are doing a lot of it.
I'll admit I care when you admit you are defending Gary. Deal?
Or better yet, when Gary admits he is wrong for once.

Gary consistently pushes a narrative in his observations that skew towards his bias. Namely, his adoration for Platek. It’s not just that he hasn’t admitted he’s wrong, he continues to double and triple down on it.The difference between Gary and his antagonists is that Gary doesn't blow up 70% of the threads on this site. I agree! I'm not defending him at all.Gary consistently pushes a narrative in his observations that skew towards his bias. Namely, his adoration for Platek. It’s not just that he hasn’t admitted he’s wrong, he continues to double and triple down on it.
I actually believe his narrative didn't start with adoration for Platek, but it evolved into that. I believe his narrative started with sniping Coby and naturally flowed to that because he had to have an alternative. The Platek praise to my knowledge never existed pre-Coby.Gary consistently pushes a narrative in his observations that skew towards his bias. Namely, his adoration for Platek.
