Keep your head up Jae’Lyn… you got this buddy!!

You mean that's actually called ... heck yrs ago dook player was clearly out of bounds passing the ball in national championship game with ref right at him & swallowed his whistle

- dumb shot against Alabama
- and-one foul against Alabama
- lane violation against dook

Those are the big ones. But if we're being honest, most UNC games the past 2 years had at least one bone headed low bball IQ play from Withers. He especially loves driving into the paint to turn the ball over or take a wild shot.

He is quite likely the worst example of bball IQ to ever put on a UNC jersey. He's in his 6th year of college and the mistakes he makes are inexcusable.

Yep. Clearly you've never tried at anything in life except doing everything to not be homeless. Even that has been an abject failure. He was trying... competing at a level that everyone in your combined gene pool has never achieved. Lay off and quit the forum then **** off.

Times 1,000. Unbelievable in that moment, SMDH!🤬

Keep your head up Whiters. Lubin's free throws shot has a hiccup, and he just missed one. What didn't look good was he wasn't being aggressive trying to box someone out, he simply stepped in the lane!
He was on offense so he wasn’t suppose to box out .. he was trying to get in front/around the guy that was going to box him out.. you just can’t let that happen if a made shot ties the game

Not being funny, but I've seen your antics for years. You really are a miserable asshole. I've had you blocked for a year because your schtick is tired, played and so depressing.

Give it a break. Kid was trying hard, just got ahead of himself at the moment. Appreciate all he has given of himself for the team. Yes, he has had his ups and downs this year but he my thanks for contributing to the Tar Heels this year.
Well bless his heart… he tried hard. I’d say every player from both teams tonight tried hard, so I guess I just have higher expectations… especially for something that every player learns to absolutely not do in like 3rd grade.

You can always count on our Ned Flanders diddly-doo crowd to see the glass as half full even if it has one drop of water in it.

He’s played good as of late and we hadn’t seen your sorry head on here in a few days give it a rest. You literally hide in the shadows until one of our bigs does something wrong but never praise one of them. Give it a rest. Like you said to some people earlier, you should be ashamed of yourself.

He made an inexcusable mistake. That's his teammate shooting the FT so he should know exactly the right timing to try to wedge in for an offensive rebound. Clearly a mental lapse at the worst possible time.

I do feel for him. That's not the kind of play I want to happen to any player or team in that kind of game.

But that's an inexcusable mental lapse from him. What a shame.

How much people decide to bury him is up to everyone individually. I'll choose not to apart from saying it was an inexcusable error.

Notice our run late was mostly with Powell at the 4 and Withers on the bench. Even with Powell shooting poorly, and even with dook missing Flagg and Brown, we were still better off today with Withers on the bench.

Had Lubin made that first free throw, I wonder if we would have stuck with the small lineup?

Thanks Jae'lyn! Without your playing and scoring and improving... UNC would never have won the games they did over the last 6 weeks. And, your hot hand made ND look like a high school team. I'm proud to have him in Carolina blue!

I hope JWit kicks your ass some day. It won't take much, either.

Putting up big numbers against a bunch of teams that won't even be playing in a postseason tournament doesn't erase the fact he hurts us every time we play good teams (or even bubble teams like Wake.)

Lubin's improvement has been vital in the wins UNC has had over the last 6 weeks. Be careful when you use "we", okay? Your lame ass hasn't contributed anything to the program.

Eat my farts, dude. See if you can get me banned for disagreeing with you... vehemently!

Given his low bball IQ, he'd probably wait until there were 10 cops and 15 video cameras present. And if I put on a t shirt of a quad 1 team, he'd probably miss with his punches and accidentally tag a cop.

But hey, props on the violent threat. I'm sure that will go over well.

UNC only has 1 player who got better statistically against better competition: Lubin.

Lubin vs BartTorvik (I'll label it BT) top 50 teams: 71% FG%. Greater than his season average.

Efficiency has fallen (some of a cliff) in most cases against good teams.
- Withers: 43.9% 3PT for the season. 28% vs top 50 BT teams. Also 4.6 fouls/40 minutes against top 50 teams vs 3.6 for the season.
- RJ Davis: 26% 3PT% vs BT top 50 teams
- Cadeau: 52.8% TS% for the season vs 45.5% TS% against top 50 BT teams. His assist rate is also 7% lower against top 50 BT teams.
- Drake Powell: 25% 3PT% against BT top 50 teams.
- Jalen Washington: 0 made 3s against top 50 teams. 28% TO rate against BT top 50 teams vs 20% for the season

The bum slayer nature of this team isn't just Withers. It's basically every player minus Lubin and Trimble (who's performance has been steady relative to strength of opponent).

Strum, you know that response was kinda funny tho...

I hate it for Withers but I also think it was a careless mental mistake. To me it pretty much symbolizes the drop off in UNC basketball. Under Coach Smith you knew Carolina would not make that type of mistake in crunch time, it was always the other team. Thank you Fred Brown and Chris Weber.
Like Belichick’s Patriots and Saban’s Tide, the best coached teams were the most disciplined. That was what separated them from the rest.

You're conveniently forgetting Brian Reese in the 1993 Elite Eight. Dean drew up the game winning play and specifically told him to lay it in and NOT try to dunk. Reese goes out, ignores Dean's orders, and missed the game winning dunk attempt. Luckily we had overtime to overcome Reese's mistake.

Dean's players made mistakes too. The problem with Withers is he makes low IQ plays every game, often multiple times per game. He should have never been on the floor because of that. Dean would have known he couldn't trust Withers in that situation.

I’m still not over it and I’ll get there but I still don’t know or understand how you cannot be completely locked in in that situation and know that a lane violation is the last damn thing you can do! I’ve watched for two seasons now and I’m not trying to bury the young man but yes his basketball IQ is not the best.

Can you think of a single Tar Heel with a worse basketball IQ? He does dumb stuff every game.

Got to put old Hubcap on the Mt. as well…

For the 2nd time in 4 years he takes a Preseason Top 10 team and will miss the the tournament in the worst P4 conference in the Nation…It’s not about that it’s about the kids and doing Gods work…

Can we get a real coach and get this cornball out of their…

Quite the feat to miss the tourney twice with preseason top 10 teams and considering the MAC level quality of the ACC this year, it’s even more impressive… or sad.

Weird… and frighteningly specific.

For accuracy sake, my career FT% in college is higher than Withers current career FT%, but I digress…

Also, isn’t doing everything to not be homeless a good thing? Do you do less than everything to not be homeless? I’m interested how… Also, is me not being homeless the abject failure to which you speak?

Hope someone you love gives you a hug today! Maybe me and my gene pool still have great achievements ahead.

Go Heels!!
