Kenan Stadium being renamed....

Look, I like using text too. But part of humanity’s issues can be linked to our need for quick communication versus our need for meaningful communication.

I’m a face-to-face kind of guy. My profession probably allows for it more so than many of y’all but I’ll always choose a real convo over some back and forth through text. And don’t even get me started on “text talk”. I had to tell an employee of mine that I’d fire her ass if she kept up with that shit. If you can’t bring yourself to type out the words “thank you” instead of “TY”, then kill yourself.

I meant in my personal life.

In my job, I'm talking to clients all day long on the phone and in person. I completely agree with you, face to face is always the way to go. Which is why most of my interaction with friends is either texting about sports and BS or it's texting "do you wanna go to dinner/bar/etc? ok, meet here at..." My wife and I talk via gchat mostly just because we're at work 80% of the day and it's the easiest way to talk.

Ahh, I understand. Although I see it professionally too much. And even in personal relationships, it shows respect to talk with someone rather than text. For me personally, I usually text to ask, “when can we chat?” Because I obviously recognize the value in text. But if a text conversation is going to be more than me sending one (1) message and then receiving one (1) back, then I’m going to call.

Maaaannnn...I'd bury a body with someone over traveling with them or recommending them for a job. Those 2 are big ones for me.

It’s not an issue for me. I don’t have friends. Just people I bury bodies with.
