Kenan Turning 100

From what I read, Kenan Stadium was completed in 1927 so it will turn 100 in a couple years.

Is anything being planned to commemorate the centennial?

Hopefully a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new pressbox and suites grandstand in 1-2 years. We need it to help raise revenues.

I agree suites are needed, but it would take a lot longer than a year. Would probably take six months just to plan it and then another six months to demo the current stuff. And it would be slowed down when football season rolled around because you would only be able to work on one side at a time.

There are blueprints for the large project and Bubba has plans for it. The Pope Box would need a reno to fit TV crews for one season.

Eventually they want an outer wall like FSU and Nebraska built to enclose Kenan.
