Knox Didn't make UNC-Duke Game

Well, he hadn't planned to go so I don't see this as a problem. Given the result it was probably a good thing that he didn't go.

He has a game today I believe and couldn't make the trip. Duke was the early (perceived leader) and UNC & UK have been the buzz lately. His recruitment will be interesting to watch. I could see him going to Duke/UNC because playing time will be available at both at the 3 position. UK already has Vanderbilt & Washington so it's crazy that Cal is able to sell Knox on playing time there will 2 others already in the bag.

Although I never count out Cal and his "pitch", I don't think PJ and Vanderbilt were on board before he cut down his final list. I'd be shocked if he commited, tbh.

I'd honestly be less shocked to see him pick FSU than I would Kentucky at this point.

Outside of Jalek, we have a better shot for him than we did any other 5 * recruit in this class. Not confident we land him, but hopeful nontheless.

Well, Knox, the way things seem to be playing out, it would seem as if our chances for him were much better now than maybe earlier on. When it was looking like we had a great shot at PJ, it was not looking great for us and Knox. But 2 things have happened, first PJ went to Ky, hurts their chances with Knox because they are some what similar types, second it looks more and more likely that Justin is gone after this season rather than the maybe prior to the season. I think clearly the increase in Justin's game is a thing that Knox has to look at.

Another thing that may help us is that as this season has progressed, it looks more and more likely that Joel will be back, a kid from Florida. Means rather than have a Kid like 7th that struggled at the point early season or a freshman that we are more likely now to have a extremely experienced and solid Joel berry back.

I'm getting the impression, more and more that Duke isn't in as good of shape for Knox as a lot of people thought. At least that's the buzz I'm getting up here in Wildcat country. I'm not saying we (UK) is going to get him. But I don't believe Duke is as strong for Knox as some believe.

program needs scoring forwards in the worst way...small,tweener,big...I would advise Robinson work on that 3 pt jumper and mid range(develop shooter's mentality) all summer..of course Knox would be good get...tricky thing he may not play like OAD-"too big for his britches"...wonder if Brian Bowen "good enough" in RW's eyes

Yeah, I think what Knox would do for us is come in pretty much wide open to start and his plan is one & done so he could begin a fresh UNC look as opposed to the perception being negative toward us as a place for the one & done player. His being a starter for us also gives us that stretch 4 look, which has been another negative that has been used against us in recruiting, that Roy does not let his 4 man step outside.

It would allow us to bring Huffman and Manley along slower and I think most all of us would be relieved to feel we could do that, especially Manley.

Harrison Barnes has to become a selling point in recruiting. I know he didnt go one and done because of the looming lockout, but he was a top 10 pick, nba ring. Now has a max deal with Dallas and is putting up all star caliber numbers. He was a focal point at UNC from the start.

I do find it interesting that we have Duke and UK fans saying they're not completely sold on Knox to their respective school. It's almost the exact opposite of what we heard with PJ and Vanderbilt.

I wouldn't say that.

You've been in this camp for a while now. I'm curious as to what you know. Care to share?

Personally, I think we get Knox. I don't know why - maybe I'm just thinking law of averages and we have to catch a break at some point. But I think he knows he'll fit well here. And he has to like the prospects of having Berry, Felton, Pinson and Bradley along side him. That's a very good starting 5 if we do indeed go that way (I know it could be Kenny at the 2 or even Pinson at the 2 and Maye at the 4) but whatever. Our depth will be lacking but I think that's a plus for a guy like Knox. He knows if he comes here, he's gonna get 30 mpg.

I've felt hopeful about Knox for a good bit. I think things are setting up perfectly for him to really see what we can offer. Roy showcasing JJ at his position can't hurt! PT and the potential to play deep in the tourney can't hurt! Kentuck overstocked at his position can't hurt!

Join the Family Mr. Knox!
We'll make you even more famous!
