I really disagree, I don't think nba GM's would even look twice at this. They take guys into the league all the time who do things that make JB being competitive over a video game look like absolutely nothing.(which it is)

Right. They do indeed. But those guys that get picked where GMs have overlooked something are sure fire NBA talents. Berry is not. Therefore a guy on the fence - like Berry - needs to make sure he doesn’t give even one GM a reason to question him.
That's grinder not tinder. That would be @TarHeelNation11's area of expertise. The hope part, not what actually happens.
I'm really trying to see what you're talking about, I wonder if you could give any examples specifically. I can't honestly recall a borderline guy not getting taken because of an off the court issue. PJ Hairston still was taken in the late first rd(I believe) after not even playing his junior year because of things we are all well aware of.
I'm sure you're gonna argue hes a "sure fire" NBA guy but he wasn't so much so that something like what happened shouldn't have really hurt him-if what you're saying is even remotely true.[/QUOTE
This iritates the shit out of me.. Youre twisting the kife in Joell's back and your'e supposed to be Tarheel failful What has Joell breaking a small bone in his had got to do with his value to the team present or past. I'm sure he can run a team better than the "The tripster". Don't let it get to you. He is here for his fourth season-does that give your a clue as to how intense he plans to play this his fourth season?
I wouldn't trade Joell for two trippers with any other starting 5 blue devil you want to thrugh out there,
Besides the FBI works slow but when they have their evidence -down go dook and kensucky. We have nothng to prove and no reaso to hide and we haven't had that freedm and peace of mind in approxomately 5 years. Go Heels!
Piss distance contest? I'm outReally hard to believe that this topic has spun out as it has. Geez guys, it is over, he broke his hand, really doesn't matter how. This has morphed way away from the topic and has become a contest of who can piss for more distance. I thought this nonsense was finished with the original thread but clearly folks needed a distance remeasure?
I don't know how this happened but someone logged in as me "champelhillbill67". No harm was done but I don't see how this can be allowed.@chapelhillbill67 Umm I'm pretty sure you meant to quote someone else. I've done nothing but defend Berry through this whole thing.
Is that pretty certain in your opinion?Joel will only miss 2 games. He will be back in the starting line-up for the Stanford game.
Opinion. Read something that if this injury would have occurred during the cbampionship run last year Joel would have sucked it up and played in the games. If the Heels lose one of th first two games, he will be back for Stanford. IMO, the Heels are an NIT team without Berry. Is that pretty certain in your opinion?

I've broken that bone. Now, I'm not JB nor do I have the doctors he has...but there is NO WAY he would have played through that during the first week.
It blows up like a balloon and hurts like all hell to the touch. The thought of catching, dribbling, or shooting a ball that quickly is incredibly unreal.
He would have wrapped that finger up and gave it a shot. Convinced of it.
Wont be back til after ThamlsgivingJoel will only miss 2 games. He will be back in the starting line-up for the Stanford game.

Yeah, I see Roy as a long-haul kinda guy... not having JB hurts but it hurts more at the end rather than at the beginning of a 39 game season. He's one tuff nut, but Ole Roy gets the last word.
