Because half of the poasters on this board try to argue that nothing is happening in the investigation and that its all a witch hunt. I can't speak for billy, but yeah its pretty damn fun rubbing their faces in it.
And the best part is they all look silly trying to argue that we're "obsessed" for following an actual investigation, considering how they acted for 8 years under Obama.
I’ve never felt this investigation was a witch hunt because it’s a serious issue if the president was or is compromised by a foreign power in any way.
I just wish people could be reasonable about this. One of the characteristics I find among Trump supporters, is that a good portion tend to be as absolutist as he is and that pisses me off to no end. However, I’m not above giving credit where credit is due either.
People talking about this isn't unreasonable though. The former campaign manager of the POTUS going to jail for witness tampering is kind of a big deal.

All of today’s extreme religious types seem to feel threatened by growing secularism. That and they don’t recognize the natural separation of religious and public life that people understood back in the day.
Well I would disagree that its natural. The United States was the first truly secular republic in human history. It took a lot of very careful planning to keep religion out of government.
I do agree with your actual point, that people back then separated the two, even if it wasn't a conscious decision. Most people back then were too concerned with keeping up with the necessary labor and keeping their families alive and fed. By the end of the day I'm sure they were more than ready to hear about an eternal paradise waiting on them after death, and not particularly interested in hearing about politics.
Information accessibility was also a big difference. They didn't get news very often if ever. The average person probably had no clue what was going on in politics. The bible was often the only book that these people owned.

You were a history major right? How much validity would you give the journals that came out of the colonial states? They always seemed a little too sensationalized to me. But that's where a lot of my understanding of life from that time period comes from. In additional to the typical history education you get in public school.

Before leaving for the meeting he was told over and over to not salute anybody. In his defense, I guess he felt like he should since the guy started to salute him. This ranks on page 1000 of my list of things I hate about him.

So. Political Satirists have no respect for the office? Thomas Nast, as a very distant example, and Darrell Hammond as a more recent example. They made endless fun of many political figures, and thank goodness for them. Politicians need more satire done about them. They're more disrespectful than the satirists.

Good Lord, man. All politicians lie on a regular basis. The last President took it to new levels. And I don't make excuses for our politicians lying to us, it is never acceptable, regardless of political affiliation.
I didn't vote for Trump or Clinton because I don't trust either of them.
If you can’t see that this is on a whole different level you are not being honest. It is making the whole world question his mental state.
