Welp... I thought I'd check in on Radar and enjoy some of the LOL@duke festivities. Mistake. Couldn't even make it to the second page of the thread before reading this poast and coming back over here.
Also, that board's organization gives me migraines. Constantly, there's 3-4 threads about the same thing running concurrently.

Compliance deadlines today and I was up till 3:30 b/c I was pumped about the win and Duke lost. My brain doesn't begin working until after noon with the help of a 5 hour energy.

Whatever trips your trigger. I admit to reading Crack Ride, DI, TI, and OOTB myself, all of which have a lunatic fringe.
I must admit, I thought Duke had finally turned their expected corner and were destined to go much further. It's March Madness for a reason.
I also do not believe for a second that the ACC was somehow inferior or lacked the great teams that were ranked during the season and chosen for the tourney. I think they all had bad days and all played poorly at the worst time. We came close as well. I think the variables of the NCAA tournament have no allegiance or preference for conferences. I don't think USC beats Duke 2 out of 3. I don't think Florida beats UVA 2 out of 3. Same with Louisville and Michigan. But, they all happened to blow it in the 2nd round. Maybe statistically it reflects poorly on the conference. But, if you watch the ACC a lot, you know better. Tournaments are different from regular season games in so many ways.

Tournament performance is every bit as meaningless as bowl game performance. It makes no sense to me why people retroactively judge a team's regular season based on their postseason performance.

Yup, the link 0910 poasted is the one I saw of it. Not a fan of the Kentucky reporter that took the video though as in his article he writes that the NCAA reps threatened to take his media credentials which he "will be using in Memphis and in Phoenix". Granted, there's a chance he'll still go to Phoenix even in UK isn't in it, but I highly doubt it and took that as an early call that UK will be getting out of the South region and onto the Final Four.
And for that, I say he and his toothless hillbilly friends can take those media credentials and shove them up their ass - sideways (would credentials hurt more sideways or normally?).

UK's media are all just mega UK fans who took the time to acquire a minimal amount of journalism training so that they can report on UK Basketball.
Carolina fans get labelled as and knocked for -- rightfully so in some cases -- our self-righteousness, but Kentucky fans are much, much worse on this front. The "reporting" of the Lynn Marshall thing is just one of many examples. Dude mind your own business. Let security handle unruly fans. Don't make a big deal about it and not-so-thinly insinuate "Our fans are classy and DON'T act this way. Everybody look!!!11" just because she's the opposing coach's wife.
I popped on SCar's free board last night for a couple minutes and there was a bunch of threads and poasts from pompous Kentucky fans "congratulating" SCar in the tone of a king commending one of his simple peasants. You'll just have to check it out for yourself. Kentucky fans wreak of self-righteousness because they think they're prophets and UK Basketball is God.
It kind of is, though. I say that as someone who grew up steeped in that culture.
Oh I don't doubt it. BBN is no joke. They could play in Taiwan on a Wednesday in October and 15,000 Cats fans would make the trek.
