Ya, that's true. A football game is about the same length as a baseball game, but has much more action so it's a more exciting watch. The difference between 2 hours for basketball and 3+ hours for baseball is a meaningful difference though.
But really, people would be fine with 3+ hour games if they weren't expected to watch it 162 times a year, just for the regular season. I think condensing it to the 16 game schedule like NFL is a bit much, but halving the season to a NBA/NHL length of 82 games would make each game mean more which would draw some excitement from fans.

Yup. Saw something scroll along the bottom of one of the games that the seahawks were looking for two 2nd round picks for him. Thought that was a steep ask, but now they wouldn't even be able to get a 7th. Sucks to suck, Pete.

Panthers with two consecutive penalties inside the 5 on their first drive. The second one was delay of game lol. Sheesh.
They are up and down from one week to the next. It looks like their D is getting scorched; if they could ever have a consistently decent defense, A.A.Ron would probably have about 3 rings by now.

Last year, I played in a "for fun" league with 10 people and went undefeated.
This year, I joined 2 pay-to-play leagues and have 1 win so far between both teams.

Heard this the other day... an interesting observation on Drew Brees and his affect on three teams:
Dolphins - passed on him because of his shoulder injury; picked up Daunte Culpepper instead (remember him? didn't think so)
Saints - their owner was wanting to move them, but after the success they had with Brees / Payton,it didn't happen.
Alabama - had the Dolphins gotten Brees, Saban likely wins more and sticks around, possibly never getting the Bama job

Looks like your boys on hot today. The Panthers are looking totally unprepared for this game. Three turnovers already... ugh.
Even though Panthers are 3-1, they've beaten a good (so far) team - Bengals, an average Cowboys team, and needed a miracle kick to beat the crappy Giants. They're probably an 8-8 or 9-7 team anyway.
ETA: considering they've never had two consecutive winning seasons, the Panthers are likely gonna end up 7-9.
We played the Saints on "Drew Brees night." I had no idea all of the records that were scheduled to be broken.
