Now how BIG was the win at App State

It demonstrates that App is a well coached football team. It still doesn’t excuse giving up 40 fourth quarter points. We barely beat GSU. We have ND coming to town in two weeks with a ton of work to do to prevent getting embarrassed.

Marshall gave ND something to think about, speaking of embarrassed.

Just in case 4 some reason u have not heard APP STATE went to Lubbock Tx and beat number six Texas A&M….
College Station is a long way from Lubbock. And, UNC is a long way from being a good team. ASU is a good team and always has been a good team with a winning culture. Beating them at home has a little more cache, now. But, UNC hasn't handily won any of its 3 victories. In all three games, their opponents beat themselves as much as the Heels actually secured the victory. I don't want to discount the importance of luck, but luck only goes so far.

UNC needs a helluva lot of improvement in almost every aspect because there are some really embarrassing losses coming, otherwise.

Your basketball handle is another example of my point that even UNC football fans often see UNC football in little terms, often because basketball clouds their vision.

If UNC basketball barely escaped at Boone, and then App St got the second biggest win its history, would you think the UNC W over App was big in any meaningful sense?

UNC football is not supposed to be on the level with App St. UNC football is in sad shape any time it sees Wins against lesser foes as worth crowing about even if a lesser foe gets a nice upset the next week.

And ND knows that it either rights the ship or else has perhaps the worst season it's ever had.

ND is going to be gunning for us even if the Irish lose to cal this coming game.
