Now What??

I would agree that I doubt any major action is taken but I wonder if the biggest issue is having a former player(McCants) on record saying his eligibility was maintained by being put in these classes....disgruntled player with a grudge or true....it's a difficult spot to argue as unc.
Except McCants has zero credibility. Story universally refuted and refused to give testimony.
Non-factor.

Dave's post above was spot on in all regards, BTW. I'll just add one thing. It should also be noted that nobody did any course work for the MBB players. They did not (again, unlike WBB) receive undue help from any tutors either.

I share Dave's concern about the NCAA trying to appease the lynch-mob press, but as he said, the Penn State overreach should be a lesson learned.

I just can't see how this is a good thing. It pretty much destroys the 2016 recruiting class which means the 16-17 season is going to be awful, like NIT type season. We HAD to have a big 2016 class to sustain a high level of play and that's not gonna happen with the uncertainty outlasting spring signing.
Would you rather this infraction be taken care of now or would you rather this rear its ugly head 2 years from now. Better to get it reported now and out of the way.
