Ok, you guys win. I have decided to stop supporting Trump. Here's why

Elections are rigged and have been rigged.

Interestingly enough, back in 2004, eBay flew me to DC to lobby Congress, with 49 other specially selected eBay sellers (1 from each state), to prevent the online sales tax bill. It was actually a very good idea for eBay to invest in their own seller base to get this done. We worked in groups of 5 with one "professional" lobbyist. Anyway, I actually got to meet Congressman Tom Feeney of Florida (featured in the above video). I also met, then Congressman, Richard Burr. It was a 3-day gig that made me even more aware of just how that show is run. At the end of the 3rd day, the professional lobbyist actually asked me if I'd consider moving to DC to, basically, lobby "full time." I declined. I said "Dude, I can't be passionate about something just because you pay me to." He raised an eyebrow.

Anyway, the elections are hardly something I'd bet my life were legitimate... ever.

Is this meant to be a defense of Trump's comments? As someone with a wife and two daughters, do you agree with his statement that, "When you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything ... Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything."

No, it's not a defense. It's an observation that however bad Trumps statement is, it pales in comparison to a woman who finds humor in a client getting away with raping a 12 year old child.

As a parent of daughters, the latter bothers me much more than the former.

You're more bothered by the attorney of the sexual predator than the sexual predator himself. Got it.

The sexual predator may at least be mentally off but what about the attorney? At least some attorneys feel remorse when they get a scumbag off. Hillary has no sign of remorse or empathy and her ad about kids just isn't believable.

She described it as a "terrible case." She went on to say, "But you know what was sad about it was that the prosecutors had evidence, among which was his underwear, which was bloody." She then described how the crime lab damaged the evidence, harming the prosecution's case.

ETA: Lest anyone get the wrong impression, I think Hillary Clinton is an unlikable, calculating, corrupt opportunist who wants nothing more than to cement her legacy as the most important female political figure of her era. Sadly, she's going to get her wish and we'll be worse for it.

Don't let him fool you. He's exactly like many that get their panties in a twist over race issues, immigration and friggin guns. They're all about the same.. fearful, overly aggressive bullies. That's why they love Trump. They're just like him except they don't have money like he does.

If the issue of laughing at a rape victim came from Trump they'd be fine with it. They're just following their cult mentality. We all see it and we all know it!

I know 71 personally. That's not what he's about at all.

And maybe that's what baffles me most about Trump supporters is the degree of cognitive dissonance they're willing to accept. If Trump is your guy, just own it. Stop pretending like he's anything other than a horrible excuse for a human being.

With that, I'm done with political threads until the election is over. I hate election years.

I don't know why I thought I was referring to Dick but even 71 gives off that vibe sometimes. I don't understand why anyone is supporting either one of these nuts. They both do the craziest sh*t that it blows my mind.

I just don't find locker room talk to correlate to sexual predation. If there were other reports of Trump being a sexual predator, then this would be more relevant.

As opposed to you, who prefers a candidate who is well known to discredit women who claim to have been raped or assaulted and who finds humor in a man surprisingly beating a polygraph to escape a child rape conviction.

Got it.

All politicians are horrible excuses for human beings. So the job is to pick the one who you think will do best.

That's ok. I think you are one of the, if not the biggest idiots with whom I have ever had the displeasure of conversing. Add to it you have no situational awareness and your sense of humor is anything but and I can say without hesitation that engaging with you is less enjoyable than any other activity which comes to mind.

Trump is currently free falling and it appears he is doing so without a parachute. If he loses anymore Republican endorsements, they may have to list him as an independent come Nov 9th.
I feel sorry for Mike Pence. How would like to get up this morning and have to defend this? This will be just one of a bunch that will come out in the next few weeks.

I know. Good thing for the Clintons that they don't have any issues of poor treatment of women in their past.

He's bragging about sexually assaulting women, plural. It's who he is, Rich. Just stop. Or better yet, I'll just stop reading your rationalizations while I still like you. :p

As opposed to you, who prefers a candidate....
LOL, no.

LOL, no.

i think he was being vulgar and crude. It's a stretch to say he was condoning sexual assault. However if there were other reports of sexual assault by Trump, then I would be right there with you.

And yes, if you go after Trump you are in effect supporting Hillary. The reverse is also true.

This is the point that has been lost this cycle unfortunately. This race has come down to "who is less of a dbag?" rather than what it should be "who's policies take the country in a better direction moving forward".

Definitely a sad state of affairs, when off the cuff comments and low taxes/emails, take precedence over fiscal and social policy.
