Badfinger is such a tragic tale of what can go wrong in the music industry , suicide of 2 members because of the business machinations of their manager with their record label.
Yep. GREAT musicians and GREAT songs. When they ended Breaking Bad with Baby Blue I about lost it! Perfection!!!!!

Thanks to THM for resurrecting this thread. A friend of mine had a compilation "Songs of the 70's" cd today and it had a bunch of guilty pleasure songs. A few that I remember:

Fantastic work by Mr. Marvin Gaye . . in fact, the whole album is just splendid work . . . it's a big favorite of mine, Mark.
Totally agree Billy. Isn’t it funny* how most of the songs and lyrics on that album are still relevant today, almost 50 years later!
*maybe SAD is the more appropriate than funny.
April 1, 1984 . . . I remember that day as if it were yesterday. That was back in the day when radio stations would interrupt their normal broadcasting and honored them by playing songs of the deceased. Those days I sadly recall of the passing of Elvis and John Lennon come to mind . .
