We use the honor system on our OOTB challenges. The winner is responsible for poasting how he wants to be paid. Generally, most folks use paypal. But sometimes guys will mail a check to the winner.I'd probably play, how do we go about paying??

We've never had an issue on everyone collecting/remitting payment.
My advice would be to wait til after they end before doing your bracket. What happens is before the play-in games are played, every game you have that team advancing, it groups it.So we don't worry about the play-in games, right?
Cool. I just didn't want to have to pick those games too; don't have time for that.... I'm still working on my NIT bracket! My advice would be to wait til after they end before doing your bracket. For instance, Wake and K-State is a play-in game and the winner becomes an 11 seed. You very well could have that winner winning another game, but you don't even know which team will be there until after the play-in. You can make it much easier on yourself and wait til after the play-ins but before the tourney proper to make your picks.
I had planned to wait until after the play in games as well. I don't think the brackets lock in until right before tip off on Thursday, so anyone who has finished their bracket already can make adjustments after the play in games.Question for @tarheel0910 and whoever else wants to chime in:
I see some folks have already submitted their brackets. Ever since they tweaked it so that play-in games involve some seeds that aren't 16s, I like to let the play-in games occur before making my picks. To me, it's more beneficial to see which 11 seed actually makes it to face the 6, because that has a very real potential to be an upset or even a Sweet 16 team.
But since some have already submitted their brackets, I don't want to be unfair or get an unfair advantage. Can I wait til the play-in games are over (but obviously before the first "real" games start)? Or do I need to submit it before the play-in games start tonight? Please advise.
Speaking of the play-in games, is it weird that two of them are in the same region? I guess it's sort of a moo point but that seemed odd to me.I have my bracket completed, but in all likelihood will change something before it locks - whether or not that's related to the play-in games. Not to reveal all my secrets, but...the 16 seed play in games aren't going to impact my bracket

I'm a greedy asshole and need to get back some of the money I'm losing in the death pool so I want it all. That being said, if the winner wants to let the best loser keep their money that's fine with me.@tarheel0910 ... what is the payout? Winner take all, or 2nd place gets their $20 back and winner takes the rest?
Fair enough.I'm a greedy asshole and need to get back some of the money I'm losing in the death pool so I want it all. That being said, if the winner wants to let the best loser keep their money that's fine with me.
Yeah, it was tough. I think I just picked a few for no real reason, because I couldn't decide who would actually win the game. Whoever wins this contest is going to make out pretty good though. Pot is over $300.Filling out mine now. Damn.... this year's tourney is tough to predict. So much parity. So many of these 64 teams are not good at all.

I'm having trouble seeing any real crazy upsets (13 seeds or lower) in the first round this year. Of course, they say that every year and then there's upsets. A lot of the lower seeds are "known" commodities. One of your 13 seeds is Kent State, one of your 14 seeds is FGCU who no longer has the element of surprise, etc.Yeah, it was tough. Elite 8. Don't sell me short.I think we already knew you would pick duke to win it all and UNC to lose in the sweet 16.
If that happens I might just have to shoot myself. That is a complete lose-lose situation right there.Duke / Kentucky final![]()

I'd cry silently to myself while sipping on bourbon, definitely NOT watching the game. And the odds that I would watch that? Start at ZERO and take the under...
One of these days, I'm going all 100% chalk on this thing just to see how I do. Has anyone ever done that?
You'd do pretty well until the end, probably. The Final Four has never been four #1 seeds, I believe. One of these days, I'm going all 100% chalk on this thing just to see how I do. Has anyone ever done that?
