OOTB's Political Thread . ..

Seems Kameltoe is summoning her inner Jimmy Carter with price controls from the gubment. Also, if you haven't bought a house yet hang on a little while and she'll give you the down payment.
They've been leaking this tidbit out, but it won't go that far. It's gonna be a lot of words saying nothing with no detail whatsoever. And releasing her big plan on a Friday afternoon going into one of the last weekends of the summer? They don't want news coverage.

This is nothing more than a big fat chapter in the book that the Biden/HARRIS admin has loved to read aloud called The Blame Game. Instead of addressing the real issues, she will set out a heaping dose of blaming food producers, grocery stores, etc. Why admit that the stores are just trying to keep their doors open and the lights on when you can scream price gouging? And she won't take a single question about it.

What are we on now, DAY 25? I'm losing count.

And then she actually said this; “The president and I are working around the clock every day to get that ceasefire deal done and bring the hostages home". She's campaigning while she's working 24/7 on a ceasefire deal. I believer her, I really do.
What's funny about this (in a sort of hmm way, not a haha way) is that I saw a couple of clips from CNN and another network where in the last day or two they had a campaign spokesperson on as a "guest" (not the candidate mind you, a campaign person who apparently IS allowed to speak with the media) and the questions were asked about when was she going to be interviewed, when was she going to have a press conference, would she commit to doing one before the end of the month, and the responses were that she has been busy campaigning and getting her message out to the voters. When the interviewer asked what campaign events were planned for that day (which was none) meaning she could be interviewed that day, the response was that she was traveling and preparing. There was nothing said about how she and Joe were busy working on a ceasefire or anything else related to her responsibilities as VP.

Grocery stores reported a 1.5% profit margin.

I guess our fearless leaders don't realize that fuel and electricity have effects on prices.
Our fearless leaders think electricity just magically comes out of those tiny holes in the wall. They don't realize that things like every "electric" car they push is actually majority powered by natural gas and coal. Until they make a major shift in the acceptance of nuclear, it's all a big lie of watching the Wizard of Oz over and over.

Energy and the prices associated with them drive everything. Everything.

Seems to me price gouging is an unfortunate side effect of capitalism. Supply and demand sets pricing. As long as people pay higher prices the prices go higher. There’s a fine line between meeting demand and gouging I guess. You can save a lot of money grocery shopping at wal mart vs Publix still though. That might be the best way to combat high prices.

If posting about them is any indication, he reads every single thing they've ever even thought about. It's actually a great case study in the politics of smear and the influence the media has on things.
They've literally put their bad policy out for plain view. There are pics of Trump plane with the heritage pres, Roberts, on his way to Amelia island to discuss it. Trump literally says heritage is roadmapping for him AT the Heritage event on the date they are revealing project 25. Then Trump denies knowing Roberts or anything about it...

And there are some f'd up things in the plan. Why wouldn't people talk about that?

PS, Roberts is the guy that said to Bannon:

“We are in the process of the second American revolution, which will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”

Russ Vought is the christian nationalist with his name all over project 25. And a member of Trump's cabinet, one of the few who didn't ditch him for being corrupt, dangerous or incompetent.

His current tie is that the RNC named him the platform POLICY director.

You cannot separate Trump from RNC or from Proj 25, but Trumps attempts to separate himself from them are pretty funny.

When you were a child did you get everything on your Christmas list every year?

Do you mean like Trump's plan to halt inflation "Drill Baby Drill"?

Hopefully her plan will not be like Trump explaining the economy using Tik Taks
Sorry the tic tac thing went over your head, but I agree with you. Hopefully her 'plan'...as if she has one that actually addresses the economy...won't be anything like Trump's. Which is saying that hopefully Trump's isn't anything like her anticipated further plunge into socialism.

If Trump wins, this shit will be implemented as much as possible. They're telling everyone that. So, no one can say "I didn't know." You can dismiss it and not believe it, but it's coming.

Can anything of significance be implemented without Congress? I haven't read the whole thing, so I'm not sure.

If Trump is as big of an idiot as y'all claim him to be, how can organize such an undertaking of implementing Project 2025? I mean, he might try but I bet he could only get us to Project 2014. Maybe Project 2017 on a good day. I wouldn't worry too much about Project 2025.

Evidently, Project 2025 is mentioned in the Book of Revelations.

What exactly is something "significant?" We're probably all different in what we find to be significant.

Just to be fair (clear, whatever), I have no doubt that Trump's opposition is using as much of that factor as possible to garner favor for them and away from him. Of course they are, they're politicians.

It would be like mega-woke think tanks creating a "plan" and offering it to a more liberal ticket, in detail, before an election against an incumbent Republican administration.

I guess we can go one-by-one and argue each aspect. But that could take a while.

He's not organizing shit. He's not complex or difficult to understand. If you turn his handle and tell him "Mr. Trump, you are so smart and I admire you so much", and you do it over and over, god only knows what kind of gumballs fall into the slot.

He's the useful idiot. Did Trump even know what Roe v Wade and Dobbs were about? Not likely... but he got federalist society and heritage folks into Scotus.
