OOTB's Political Thread . ..

Well some evidence that holds up in court to start with would be nice.

It certainly would. Unfortunately, most courts want to state that there is no standing. You can't sue before the election because there has been no fraud and you can't sue after the election because it is too late. Still plenty of cases pending though.

Graham beat Trump to the punch.
And since Ga alone wouldn't overturn the election, you gotta wonder how many identical calls Trump has put out to all the other swing states. (Kinda like the rumored similar calls to non-ukraine countries )

At this point, I don't know what more evidence is needed.

What most of you need is for CNN to cover the story before you will believe it. It has nothing to do with evidence, only the media's acknowledgement of evidence.
Just so I'm clear here... You think Trump's phone call dialogue was all performance art and him playing to the camera- or microphone, as it were? He knew he was being recorded, so he decided to play a joke on them by stating things that could have him brought up on criminal charges?

I think the phone call took place with a 100% awareness by Trump that many people were listening to the call and that no criminal conduct whatsoever took place until the GA SOS released the call after agreeing that he was legally bound not to.

I have no idea what the motivation was behind placing the call or what the objective/goal was when the call was made. I will leave the speculation to people who think that the WaPo, CNN and the NYT are trustworthy.

I agree, poopslinger.

I, too, like Trump more and more each day since he lost the election. He is making my job of declaring him a repugnant flunkey all the easier. If you think Wednesday is going to be interesting, just wait until January 20 when Trump gets his ass kicked out of Washington forever. Now, THAT will be a fun day!

So what do you consider to be reliable news media. Or more reliable than those at least.

"Many people?" Okay, just making sure. Trump was the victim, as always. Nothing that he said can be taken at face value because he knew that "many people" were listening, and if the audio was ever released, it would be without his consent, so everything that he said that reveals criminal behavior by him is cancelled-out because... he knew he was being recorded?

The motivation of the call? Have you listened to the entire phone call?

None. I look at source documentation, video and audio and draw my own conclusions. That being said, there are a few journalists whom I trust- Catherine Herridge, John Stossel, Kim Strassel and Jon Solomon are the top 4 for me.

He's no victim in this instance, nor has he claimed to be one. And the SOS releasing the call does not absolve him from criminal liability, if there were any.

And no, I haven't wasted an hour listening to a phone call. The last time you loons claimed he said something illegal on the phone, you got your shit pushed in. Why do I want to spend time finding out you fools blew your load early once again?

That's because I know you idiots will take the bait. Thanks for reinforcing this.

Do us a favor though- bump your top 5 absurd retweets that were posted by me.

I just want to count the legal votes and let the chips fall where they may.

I don't even care if there was fraud at this point (which of course, there was). The bigger point is to save the America I know and love - from utter destruction. If that means backing an effort to overturn a "nonfraudulent" election, then so be it. The end justifies the means.
But what about long-term implications for this country and whether or not "overturn" is a possibility?

Nothing Trump is doing is unique to being maga or repub, any a$$hole can pay lawyers and fire up some anti-democracy congressmen to be try and overthrow elections.

It could easily be someone like AOC or Soros or [pick your fav socialist lib] up there promising benefits to the military and cops while asking for a military insurrection or something to maintain a position of power... to push for real communism or something that could ruin the America you love.

You admittedly support counting illegal votes and cheating at all costs to win. Not sure why you think your thoughts on this mean anything to us.

Shouldn't it be awomen? Seems like awoman would discriminate against all but one woman, which would make it racist. Also, what about transexual people who don't identify at all? Discrimination against them as well. So, I think the main take away from that article is that this guy is a racist and transphobic.

as was said, it the White House Ellipse (South Lawn, backyard, whatever you want to call it). It is 52 acres (and that's not counting the Mall), so I'm pretty certain it holds more than 15K.

the people organizing it said it’s in freedom plaza. Maybe it’s changed since then i dont know.

The Eighty Percent Coalition, a newly created group whose name refers to the estimated percentage of Republican voters who do not trust the 2020 election results, has requested a permit with the largest expected gathering of up to 10,000 people at Freedom Plaza in northwest D.C.
Other planned protests include one of some 5,000 attendees planned by a conservative women’s group and two smaller rallies–one named the “Wild Protest” on the Capitol lawn’s northeast quadrant and a separate march from the National Mall to the Capitol led by a former Republican Congressional candidate from South Carolina, the Washington Post reported.

Oh, you mean like the US House of Representatives?

You know, the place where Nancy Pelosi let a confirmed positive case enter the chambers so she could secure a vote for Speaker?

That kind of Covid party extraordinaire?

Why weren't you worried about Covid then? Why is it a concern now?
Lol... what about them?

They're ALL fvcking up! Absolutely.

It's pretty obvious that a sore loser "rally" is a great place for a virus to get some hosts.

OK- maybe you should first worry about people in power following their own Covid rules before you concern yourself with anyone else?

Life tip #1- no one follow the rules when the people who set the rules don't follow their own rules.

Life tip #2- no one but you are responsible for your own health.

Life tip #3- Dumpsters provide much more opportunity to pick up a disease than does an outside gathering.

I really don't give a damn about what people in Congress do, to be perfectly Frank. I just know that a bunch of people gathered side-by-side is a potentially dangerous situation for spreading a highly contagious respiratory disease. I don't need Congress to verify that. I don't need Congress to follow it. I don't care if all of Congress gets it and dies from it.

If you are scared, then don't go to the rally.
