Project 2025 Is Alive and Well In the Trump Administration

This morning, Office of Management and Budget director Russell Vought and Office of Personnel Management acting director Charles Ezell sent a memo to the heads of departments and agencies. The memo began: “The federal government is costly, inefficient, and deeply in debt. At the same time, it is not producing results for the American public. Instead, tax dollars are being siphoned off to fund unproductive and unnecessary programs that benefit radical interest groups while hurting hardworking American citizens. The American people registered their verdict on the bloated, corrupt federal bureaucracy on November 5, 2024 by voting for President Trump and his promises to sweepingly reform the federal government.”

Vought was a key author of Project 2025, the blueprint for a second Trump administration, and in July 2024, investigative reporters caught him on video saying that he and his group, the Center for Renewing America, were hard at work writing the executive orders and memos that Trump would use to put their vision into place.

more here:

Most of us would agree with Vought's initial generalizations, but then he goes off the rails. And the way he goes off the rails does not bode well for Americans who aren't well off.

Perhaps you can help me out since you're already in the know and can just cut to the chase. You complain about a group known as the Center for Renewing America writing proposed EO's.

Yet somehow, that means that Project 2025 is the blueprint for Trump which was not put out by them but was authored by The Heritage Foundation. Is one a subsidiary of the other or something? Or is it just Vought who is a member of both? So, your suggestion is that Trump can only have people who were never involved in The Heritage Foundation or that means he is pursuing P25? Or can Trump never do anything that also happened to be in P25 or he is somehow pursuing all the goals of the entire document?

This is just asking you to actually connect some dots rather than lazily parrot some bs from a substack column. Indeed, the absurdity of the author's assertions can be summarized in the following sentence:

"Musk appeared to be in charge of the first Cabinet meeting of the Trump administration today."

Anyone who claims that Trump isn't in charge is just a denier and a hater. I mean, I understand that you are used to a president who isn't present and decidedly not in charge. However, that's definitely not our President now. Besides, are you wanting it both ways or something? Is Trump pursuing P25 or not? You claim he's not even in charge of his own cabinet meeting. Which is it? At least decide on a claim, regardless of the reality.

Finally, when it comes to complaining about who is in charge of cabinet meetings, I'll just say thank goodness that Melania didn't have to be there for things to run properly.

yes, they are just flailing away hoping that one of their flabby appendages might actually knock something over.

This morning I tuned in to C-span and witnessed one of the most disgusting such displays I can remember. There was being debated the repeal of the Biden last minute edict that only the higher-efficiency tankless water heaters were to be purchased and installed. This is a subject I know something about.

A republican used his time to point out the higher cost of the higher-efficiency 'condensing' type of TWH, and the elimination of any other choice that the edict entailed. This of course goes against the grain of conservative values. The speaker was unemotional and to the point and made his case clearly and factually. He spoke plain common sense.

Then a typical dem scumbag got on the soapbox to go hysterical and tell more lies in two minutes than Heels Noir could tell in a week, emphasizing the lib contention that this was like everything else that Trump was behind, nothing more than a ploy to further enrich his billionaire friends. It was incredible, the dishonesty and the distortions, and the turning of a subject that has little to do with Trump, into an insane and unwarranted attack on anything and everything that might be turned into a smear. And it wasn't just this one dem, as I thought it might be. After the next republican delivered another factual justification for repeal, another hysterical dem took the podium and managed to double down on the first dem's hysterical diatribe.

Watching these rejects behave so contrarily and unreasonably, you could have no doubt as to why we got into the shape we're in.

Just for the record, the non-condensing TWHs that Biden was outlawing are not inefficient, and what they use in fuel is only slightly more than the condensing type. And they are less complicated and less expensive, both for the equipment and for the installation. They are less likely to need repair and less expensive to repair if they should need it. In other words, having the non-condensing units available could help out those on a budget quite a bit. Yet the dem talking point was that Trump was just trying to sell more nat. gas to make his buddies even richer, to the detriment of those who had that choice eliminated by Biden/dems. . I wanted to puke.

the stupidity never ends. "Make no mistake: This order transforms federal spending by taking it away from Congress, where the Constitution placed it, and moves it to the individual who sits atop the Department of Government Efficiency."

No, dumbass, Congress still decides what is to be spent and on what, and it never in fact had its hands on the actual spending. That's why there is an executive branch...to execute.

What the author is too dumb to comprehend is that the DOGE's function is to eliminate the practice of spending monies in ways Congress never intended. Doge is returning original purpose to Congress, not usurping it. It is doing exactly the opposite of what she contends. Idiot.

This is the part that the media and endless whinners NEVER talk about or fail to understand from the outset. The funding is decided by Congress but they almost never lay it out specifically how they want it implemented - it's always general with vast room for interpretation. For example, not once has anyone pointed out where Congress passed a spending bill that said something like we want 300 million to be spent by USAID that develops and provides a program to train children of Venezuela to play the pedophile version of Chutes and Ladders. The funding language would simply say to spend 300 million on foreign aid to develop better relations with Venezuela. Thus, technically, USAID might not have violated any laws, but they didn't do what was intended or expected either because no one (except the crazy, far, far left) would support the idea of developing and indoctrinating kids into a world of pedophiles.

The funding of Congress is provided and then the executive branch is supposed to implement it. The problem is that the fourth tier of government, the bureaucracy, has taken this responsibility from this elected branch and doesn't want to give that up. Indeed, a large amount of that group believe they are independent from and are not required to even follow the directives or guidance of the executive branch. They run the gov and they know better than our elected representative. And many of those implementations have taken on a political agenda that was never intended or authorized by Congress.

For example, as absurd as it sounds, it has been revealed that money was provided by USAID to develop a sesame street like show in Iraq. If someone can show that Congress actually funded such a specific program, I would suggest that everyone (regardless of party, etc.) who voted for that funding needs to be investigated for possible impeachment. At the very least, it's malfeasance.

I don't get it. Inequity in crash dummies? I thought the test engineer just told the dummy what gender it is supposed to believe it is during that specific test and they were able to cover all the possibilities. I mean, Dummies have no inner feeling telling them they are different from their birth assigned genders. Seriously, is purple hair complaining about the size of the dummies used? Is it because certain parts that we're not even supposed to use to define gender are not being molded into the dummies? What the hell is gender inequity in a car crash test?

Wait. I figured it out, purple hair wants them to stop simulating real life where they only do crash tests with guys driving if they've also got a lady turned and yelling at the guy, but they always do crash tests with ladies driving solo but putting on makeup? I kid, of course.

Seriously, is it a complaint that the bodies are molded more towards the size and shape of the average man versus the average woman? This is one of those things that would appear to be largely neutral. I just don't get it besides the idea of creating an issue where none exists.

Anyone else noticed the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine are about to end? Must have been something that Biden did...

Is that what's happening? Lmao please explain how blaming Ukraine for being invaded and refusing to condemn Russia is "about to end" the war.

The meeting in the Oval Office with Zelensky was a total clown show.

no surprise that you admire the reaction of someone who isn't for America, brought to us by an entity that isn't for America, but is rather against all things Trump. With the level of support Biden was pushing, there was and is not a snowball's chance in hell that Ukraine doesn't end up losing territory to Russia while risking the embroilment of other European nations and a much greater conflagration. Yet obscene billions were being added to our debt in the name of relentless and useless loss of life.

If support is to be token and ultimately of no help, should it be in the form of helping our debt come crashing down on us?

Trump is rather trying to establish a vested interest in Ukraine, which gives us a substantial bargaining position. I forgive those who aren't bright enough to understand that, since it wasn't expected of them to start with. It also isn't expected of them to not be totally ignorant of the history of that region of the world, both recent and otherwise, while lending their outrage to whatever their demonstrably demented leader suggested that they should.

And let's not forget, Russia didn't invade Ukraine while Trump was president. Oh wait, never mind, never let the facts get in the way of a good case of TDS.

Here's an idea. How about some of us continue to keep our heads up our asses and not pretend to be privy to all the interactions going on, and see how this all shakes out instead of bringing your half-baked TDS cold sweats here to this board.

All the Squad wussies that didn’t have the cajones to show up on this board and take their medicine after Kameltoe lost the election are predictably resurfacing the first time Trump’s plans go astray. What a bunch of spineless, self important “Demwits”! They don’t want a peace deal to be made in Ukraine or the Middle East because their party hasn’t been able to broker one. Truth be known their party is largely responsible for what has occurred in those regions, the Biden crime family involved with the corrupt Ukraine government through Burisma, Obama and Biden giving Iran billions of dollars to fund terrorism worldwide, etc…

But for TDS victims, it’s all Trump’s fault. Trumped up charges has taken on a deeper meaning under Dim leadership.

The irony of calling someone a whore while your orange idol is trying to sell “green card privileges plus” from the Oval Office and simultaneously hawking his merch… Lol not to mention the scam crypto currency he setup for accepting bribes.

I guess him and Tapper have at least one thing in common. They both have a core base of idiotic suckers that will buy whatever bullshit they’re selling.

Inbred, there is already a VISA program for people investing $1M to come here. Trump just wants richer people to get that benefit.

Now compare that to you scum that want people with diseases, criminal records, low IQs, no job skills, no English skills and/or no education to run across the border to get on the welfare rolls or to set up their local 3rd world gang to rape, steal, murder and/or deal deadly drugs.

We know it pisses you off Trump puts America First in his decisions. He wants companies and rich people to invest here, but you scum like raising their taxes when you somehow steal an election.

I am guessing they want to keep sending billions of dollars to the corrupt Ukrainians that steal it for themselves. They also want the massacre on the frontlines to keep going, while thinking somehow that is going to weaken russian. Uh, russia has nukes and very dangerous cyber hackers (military and civilian) that could shut down the grid in seconds. You would be dead within a month if they wanted to shut us down.

The way to harm russia is to put sanctions on their fossil fuels which Trump did in his first term. Biden removed them (because he took russian bribes as VP) which in turn provided billions for russia to invade ukraine. You got that you dumb pile of $#it?? Biden helped fund the ukraine war then dumped billions of our dollars on the other side. You scum are insane in addition to being dumb@sses.

The kooks need to explain this BS...biden gave the taliban $1.8M. Terrorist supporters

Now you see why DOGE is digging through the dirty swamp.

Also, you need to explain why obama and biden gave Billions to iran to fund their terror wars against us and Israel. I call that treason, an act where they should both rot in prison. Trump put strong sanctions on iran and they suffered but of course biden reversed that and gave them more money.

Explain that....

if you merely mention treason, I agree with you without even going beyond that mere mention. Things detrimental to our nation are done and accepted by the sheep now that would never have been dared in times not that long ago. A good number of people better be glad if I don't miraculously find myself in absolute power, because if I did, some heads would roll....figuratively speaking, of course. Maybe not necessarily figuratively in some cases.

would you settle for acknowledging or at least not denying that an attempt is being made to end the war rather than prolonging it to no good end?

The US and NATO have been trying to end the war since it started. Nobody wants to see Ukraine being assaulted by a murderous dictator. The grown ups in the room also understand that Putin has wanted to rebuild the Soviet Union and that we can’t simply allow him to invade sovereign countries in an attempt to expand Russia’s borders.

Russia has lost something like a third of its kinetic firepower and we’ve been able to mobilize tech and weapons that would otherwise just be stockpiled in some warehouse. It’s a minuscule percentage of our arsenal that puts zero strain on our military capacity. They’ve lost a huge number of tanks and other equipment that has weakened their military greatly. We’ve managed to weaken one of our most hostile adversaries without having to put a single troop into combat.

Calling Zelensky a dictator and refusing to condemn Russia for invading Ukraine made Trump look like a complete f*cking idiot and anyone with a functioning brain can see that.

Scumbag biden did not threaten harsh punishment for putin when they put their troops on the border for the second invasion. Biden said he would measure what kind of "invasion" it was before deciding how to react. What kind of BS is that?

Putin loves demoncrats because you are dumb, slow and weak. You invite wars then are too slow to make tough decisions like arming Ukraine to the teeth. Obama gave the Ukraine blankets in the original invasion, while biden withheld deadly weapons until putin had a strong foothold in round 2.

How come putin did not invade on Trump's watch? Oh that Russia Collusion BS does not match that scenario. Oh but you idiots are mad at Trump for ripping the midget over not doing a peace deal to end this BS.

Lol it’s kinda weird that they’d spend so much time and energy bombing infrastructure facilities in Ukraine when they could just do a cyber attack and shut down their grid “in seconds.”

It must be some kind of miracle that the Ukrainians have survived so long when Americans would be dead in a month. Lol you’re an idiot.
