I do that because of the non-opinion laden programming, mostly science and nature stuff. I resent paying for the heavy bias that much of their other programming exhibits. I don't want to give up those shows that I care for, but the greater concern is for where our taxes go, and wherever they go it should either be neutral or be rendered neutral by opposing viewpoints. There is little to no sense of such balance on PBS.

But as I have posted before, I can't listen for very long...that is, I can't ignore the content for long...because the weeping, bleeding heart nature of the liberal psyche that colors most of what they present is such a downer. Making government efficient is a worthy mission that pretty much every American agrees with. What they disagree with is the method of trying to do it. If you can’t understand people being opposed to Trump trying to massively expand executive power while attacking any judges that stand in his way, then you need to put down the kool aid. If you believe that government bloat is purely some Democrat scheme to funnel money to the DNC then you are just willfully ignorant. It wasn’t that long ago that a Republican VP with deep ties to the military industrial complex started a war in the Middle East that cost US taxpayers trillions of dollars, and countless lives. The debt grew more under Trump than it ever had during any previous administration including Obama. Obama also had a budget oversight committee that focused on eliminating waste. This isn’t some new concept, most administrations have oversight committees for this.
Total foreign aid amounts to roughly 1% of the federal budget. It’s not even close to being a significant factor in the national debt. And none of that is going to “promoting transgenderism in the Amazon” or whatever bullshit propaganda you guys are buying into.
In case you haven’t noticed the republicans vote for deficit spending too. The debt has steadily been growing for decades under both Republican and Democrat administrations.
