GymRat's suggestion that you go and severely injure or off yourself is interpreted to mean an answer in the affirmative to a question that he didn't even attempt to answer. Nah. No one needs to get run over just for expressing an opinion no matter how misguided. That's one of the significant differences in being a person or philosophy that actually practices tolerance versus one that claims to do so but only does it when they are in agreement.

if you're suggesting what I think you are, you are right...when dealing with this sort of person, you have to try to deprive them of opportunities to twist your words into nothing you were trying to say. Strum isn't the worst though. I oppose him but I have some respect as well. The worst is notably absent, both in his presence here and of any respect I might have for him. but it seems his handle is mentioned here somewhere.
And additionally, just to convey the full gist of something unquestionably, it's better to answer questions before they are asked, (or ignored in the process of forming illusory opinions which are going to be attributed to what they want to insinuate that you said, and regardless of what you actually said).

I hear you, and I think tolerance is highly overrated (that's a joke, @strummingram); but sometimes it's completely (or partly) called for. I know and have known liberals who are not at all bad people....they're just misguided. He was 20-30 years old and likely made fun of over his face, limp right arm and walked with a limp. I have sympathy for him.
