Clemson is demoralizing Miami... in Coral Gables.
I have a feeling that Clemson will take the ACC this year. They might even take the whole thing. It will make living here even worse.

Agreed. I know Dabo wants to make the committee see past its pro-SEC and pro-BT and pro-Pac baises, as well as the anti-ACC football bias. But he should not risk any major player any more in this game.
UNC has nothing to worry about for the UM game ... after this game they will quit for the season and play uninspired ball. The Al Golden era is over ... which kind of sucks but thats the way it goes. You guys SHOULD WIN 9 games this year with the possibility of a 10th from your bowl game. All of this equals to a very good recruiting class that will join a very good, young team for next year to build on this yrs success. Coaching matters!
Man... I dunno if Clemson is THAT good, or Miami is just having a horrendously bad day, or both. I can't believe Miami is this bad.
Well it's clear we are gonna get no help against other Coastal opponents. Syracuse looked to have stopped Pitt but the Panthers faked a punt and are fixing to win at the end of the game.

Golden has lost the team completely, but Clemson is very good. Almost no jpurnalists or announcers are talking about Clemson making the playoff. Dabo intends to make them talk about Clemson.

Welp. We're gonna just have to do it for ourselves. We're getting no help from the lesser Coastal teams. I maintain Duke isn't that good. Pitt is much better.

I'll never understand how plays like that and the Auburn "kick six" happen. It's like all the offensive players don't even try to go make the tackle. Where was anyone on that return??
The Clemson/FSU game just got cranked-up even more. FSU can't lose another game and they're playing here in Clemson.
dook is the luckiest team in the conference hands down. Sirk a mediocre QB with no speed and a medoiocre arm running in that "2" was just unbelievable. He should have been stopped at least 2x. averages 50 rushing and gets 107 today. dook beats a VT team with a losing record but I can just about guarantee they will move up in polls. I agree I just don't think they are that good, what is their signature win??
FSU falls to GT on a blocked FG returned for a TD. It was bound to happen , they have been letting inferior teams hang around all year. Offense is very pedestrian.
wolfmutts scored 28 in 1st quarter on 4 plays of +50 yards for scores , little else rest of game. WF just has 0 play makers on either side of the ball.
I think Pitt, UNC and Duke are all about the same. Yet, 2 are ranked, but one isn't. College football polls are biased and a complete joke. UNC isn't great, but they are a good team and better than some of these trendy top 25 teams. People hate UNC and it is obvious.
I'm also convinced that no one actually watches Duke play. Based on how writers and other teams' fans talk about Duke, there's no way they actually have seen them play.
Duke is a pretty good to great defense and a terrible offense. This is not the Duke teams of the past couple years that had really good receivers like Crowder. Could Duke beat us? Sure. But IMO, they're not even the second toughest game left on our schedule.
We really don't have one either but we aren't ranked and I doubt we will be this week. I am optimistic about this team but there are still big ? marks.
Pitts only loss is to an undefeated Iowa team on a 57 yard field goal. They also only played 2 home games. I do agree however, that all 3 teams are about the same. Thursday will say alot.
Here is the question regarding the FSU loss: How many Noles fans will get back to whining that FSU needs to leave the ACC so the league ofife won't screew the poor, persecuted Noles?
But the rest of the ACC is also young. Syracuse also has freshmen and sophs all over the 2-deep and special teams. Louisville is young. So Wake needs to think of its 4 OOC games as being one 1-AA team and three Group of 5 teams that tend to be Losers (say, Army, FIU, FAU, Eastern Michigan, South Alabama). For Wake, a pair of 6-6 bowl teams because of weak OOC schedules can provide the excitement that leads to better recruiting and then to a shot at a 9-3 team once again.
Wake is too young to have playmakers. In 2017, Wake should be competitive - not to reach the ACC Championship, but to make a bowl and even win 8 regular season games.

Which means Golson was not the answer. Which means that they have wasted a lot of valuable game experience that the returning QBs could have used to prepare for next year.
