Nah - "give everyobdy a trophy" was the person on this board who - after the championship - said that Marcus and Brice should be given a ring for THIS championship. I don't agree with that.
But if the team wants to vote Meeks MVP of the year, so be it. How can you be against it. IMO he was THE senior leader ALL YEAR... and we don't get to last Monday without him owning last Saturday.... and to see how he played all year, taking into account how he played much of his junior year..... KM deserves some MAJOR PROPS!
If Meeks gets the teams vote, great, proud of him, but who on this board really believes he was the team MVP for the entire season? A case can be made for final four MVP (which he gets my vote for that), but Berry or Jackson should get team MVP, Imo. We'll find out soon enough.

Not sure a petition will swing matters, but Kennedy certainly deserves to be honored. If nothing else, maybe the petition will mean something to him. 4 year Senior leader who improved every year, turning into a True Terror on the boards and a very solid defender. Without Meeks, we would not be hanging a Banner for 2017. Of course that is true of the other guys as well.

The team should make the decision on their own. I'm sure it is based off of more than just on court play and it is supposed to be for what they accomplished this season not over their career. We don't get to see the behind the scenes stuff like practice, lifting, film review, etc. If they feel that someone else was more deserving then I'm ok with that.
Look, if they vote someone else, I'm cool with it. It's their choice. But I love the support we've garnered for the big guy. He has been an extremely underrated player.
By far the most underrated guy on this team. His routine double doubles were taken for granted. Without Kennedy, we don't even sniff the title this year.
