Pinder

Didn't UF already have commitments from 4 4* DTs? If only 3 of them sign, that still leaves Pinder as the 4th most desired DT in a class for a program that already has most of its talent on D, including the DL.

But dreams are dreams and often reject all common sense and logic and facts.

I think there's two factors. One, each kid probably thinks he's better than others at his position so they assume playing time won't be an issue. And the new transfer portal rules are making it easier to switch schools so the risk of going to a competitive environment is minimal.

It's possible that immediate playing time isn't his main concern. He might just like one school and/or coach better than the other school. There are kids out there who don't mind waiting their turn if that means they are at a school that they think is a better fit.

Thank you. Pinder has also pointed out that going to UF would allow his family to come to his games.

Tim Smith kept his commitment and signed with Alabama, making the likelihood of a Pinder flip even greater.

Burris would be #26 and we reportedly have 28 spots available. I expect we’d look to graduate transfers and the transfer portal for positions of need. Not sure if there are any active offers for recruits who haven’t signed yet.
Mack stated that we will explore the GT option, but that any player we add who isn’t a GT would have to be an exceptional player because we have fewer scholarships available next year, and the ‘21 class in NC is a great one.
Pinder was an important player for us. So glad he signed.

I love Roy, but he should probably let Mack handle football recruiting.
