Yup, I always like the kids who not only can play, but they're often more insightful and eloquent than the people interviewing them.Dang guys. Just got back in town and listened to Platek interview on espn radio. WOW. I really hope his game is as good as his speaking skills. "in my four years" was one thing that stood out to me. Not looking to leave or hurry up his situation(not that he could) just sayin. Smart kid, and I'm excited.
I just don't want Joel to feel like he has to force things too much. Hopefully, he'll have plenty of scoring support from the rest of the team. If he could give us 15/6, I'd be very happy. I know his defense will be very good.
The only two I'm concerned about are Isaiah and Kennedy.
No worries. Our system's not changing and JB has never been a selfish player, even while winning POY 3 times in Florida. He does what he does in the system he's in. Roy basically just gave him the Marcus Paige green light to create his shot when he wants/needs to with the trust that he'll use it wisely. That for me archer is a major concern, that Joel feels he may have to do to much and it effect our balance. I don't want him to feel he has to play like cat barber did last season, I want more of what we saw last half of last season from him, give us that and we have front to back balance production. Please don't give us the Lmac heat checks or the I need to spread the court and take my guy one on one every trip down court. He does have plenty of help, love to see his assist numbers increase but 15ppg is fine for him if he shoots around 50%. We do not need our PG putting up 20 shots a game, if he does we will be in trouble IMO.
