** Closet Dookie Alert **
Not gonna go back and quote it directly because I'm too lazy, but @Hark_The_Sound_2010 I disagree that Roy sounds like a "clown" by saying dagummit a lot. That's just how some Southerners talk (especially rural Southerners from poverty, which is what Roy is).
People said the same thing about Bobby Bowden. The "people" who said those things and mocked him -- playfully or not -- for saying "shucks" and "daggumit" are either just haters or they're northerners who don't realize that's how folks talk.
But not everyone would agree with that. Wolpfack fans think Roy is an uneducated hillbilly, the irony of which makes me chuckle.
It wasn't the "we have" part that threw me. It's the fact that here at OOTB I see the same kind of name-calling and "if you don't agree with me" bullshit, only it's from the other side, see. That was a Radar quote, I did make it confusing by saying "we have[.]"
I won't argue with that. Like I alluded to with my Wolpfack fan reference, Southerners judge other Southerners just like Northerners judge Southerners. Folks who are helplessly redneck will look at someone else and be like "he is such white trash." Lol.Northerners are aware that's how rural southerners talk. But just like you think various things yankees do/say makes them look/sound stupid, listening to a slew of dadgummits gives me (and probably a lot of others) the same impression.
He does it from time to time. Here's one from 2009 (drops the F bomb at the 0:44 mark):BTW, y'all must never watch Roy's pressers. He dropped an F bomb during one last season and it was after a win.
Since we're talking about cussing, I want to go ahead and say GFY to everyone. It seems appropriate given the subject.
