At least we don’t have last years poll, “who will shoot the most air balls?”
No because it seems silly to vote on it when over half of them we haven't seen attempt a single 3 pointer in college. All I know is that if it is Platek, we are in for a world of hurt next year.
Platek can come in next yr with no pressure and drop a couple of 3's and head back to the bench . Shoot bout 45 % from behind da line and be a fan favorite playing the role intended for him as a role player.
Maybe as a sophomore. I don't expect much as a freshman.

I've always hoped he would turn in to UNC's version of Scott Wood. A bit slow but smart and tough and will kill you from outside if you don't spend a player to cover him full time. So far, he has all of that but the "kill you from outside" part.

While I don't expect it, either of those guys could break out.
The only acceptable 3-pt shooting percentage at the college level on that list is from Ant. And he only took 7 treys.

Platek is more likely to shoot 45% from the free throw line than from behind the arc
I voted puff. His lack of strength won't hinder his shot making, and his size will make it easier for him to get them off. I don't think he will lead the team in makes, but I do think he will lead by percentage.
How quick is his release? I can't recall from the videos I saw.
My vague recollection from those clips is of a kid still carrying baby fat. Not that he was fat, but you know what I mean. Soft. Maybe a little slow. But if your shot release is quick, that might not matter too much. At least on the offensive side of things.
I had a somewhat similar feeling about Walton. More so for Puff.
That's why I'm not expecting much from either of them as freshmen. But I expect them to come on as sophs or juniors.
He's just a late bloomer. Cam was no different. We got to see him with 3 years of college conditioning under his belt. Cam said he grew 2 inches in college, I could see the same thing happening with Puff.
His release isn't particularly quick, it's smooth and pretty (again) like his brother's.
The reality is though that 6'7"+ guys with his ability to shoot the ball don't grow on trees. We all saw Platek struggle to shoot the ball last year, despite all the reports that he's a great in practice shooter. That's what happens when you're an unathletic 6'3" with short arms in the ACC.
When the ball gets kicked out to Puff this year, he will shoot over the close out guy with ease. And his ability to make contested shots will only get more ridiculous with additional years of growth and practice.
