It took "monster" games from Bacot, Love, and Manek??? Love and Manek did not have monster games. However, with a subpar offensive game from Davis, no Walton or Garcia, and a McKoy just off covid protocol we destroyed Va. A 16 point win against Va is more like a 20+ point win against most teams because of their tempo of play. We didn't get past them, we humiliated them! Big difference.

It's not a great resume win, and there are no "bad wins" only bad losses but Gary trying to say UVA don't stink is classic, this is borderline "blown assist" level stuff!

I have no idea how you look at Virginia's record and who they have lost to and not think they are not a very good team.

Nonetheless, it was a great game by UNC and a much needed win especially over a team that has had their number in recent years.

Obviously Virginia isn't a great team this year, but when you clobber a team that has beaten
you seven straight times, it's a very satisfying victory for all concerned. I'll be surprIsed
if Bennett's squad doesn't win 13+ games in the ACC, unless Covid

Uva talent level is down this season but UNC had a lot to do with the way UVa played yesterday because that may have been our best defensive effort of this season. While Bacot played really well, my player of the game was Love, he was yet again fantastic. RJ, while he didn't do much for the stat sheets, kid worked and gave Clark fits. Manek, key for that kid is shot selection, just watch the difference when he gets a open look compared to when he takes a shot with a hand in his face, it is night and day. Brady hit some big shots in this game and IMO his over all decision making was solid.

Solid win but we should have won this one solid, you don't get embarrassed like we were vs ND and not come out next game (especially at home) with a chip on your shoulders but the question with this team is can they sustain and build on where they are now at? We have not really sustained solid play so far and we need to. I sincerely believe we have a talent level that if not equal to duke is not to far away.

Virginia is not as good as usual, but the line was -7 and moved to -5. Meaning Vegas thought it would be a close game. We were up by 20 at the end of the game. We did not have two key players in our line up, and still did not have any problems. This was a great win because of how we did it.

Maybe more importantly Love and Bacot finally look like they can lead this team. The team seemed to understand where the ball needed to go. I am concerned that this revelation has come about while Garcia is out, but we will see. Defense actually had great effort. I am excited to see if we can keep this up.

It wasn't a "shake up the rankings" win but it did stop the bleeding a bit. After some of the games UNC has had I was nervous about playing a UVa team that has traditionally made us play half-court. A lot of good came out of that game but still a work in progress. I hate that break is coming up from one perspective (I think you need to be playing at least 2 games a week to keep the rust off) but it should give guys time to heal.

ACC is just bad this year and UNC still has just the one road loss. These are a lot (hopefully) of games left to play. Hopefully no more of the 2 steps forward, 3 steps back crap and they start to build on the positives from one game to the next.

Great win from our guys! Bouncing back from a potential season killer is important. Beating a team that has had our number is important. Beating a team and coach known for physical and effective D is extremely important. Winning an ACC game is important. Having UVA look like we drank their Kool-Aid is important! It takes a really special "fan" to look at how well we played and find the cloud in a game full of silver linings, but....

It was thoroughly enjoyable and I brought a friend with me that had never been inside the Dean Dome! We loved the energy of the crowd and the intensity of the players. Several times he noticed how quickly the ball moved and never seemed to stick with anyone (even the notorious black holes)! I truly hope that we can return next weekend with the same level of intensity and willingness to share the ball. Couple this with defensive smarts and good shot selection, and the sky is the limit for this team!

I don't think most of the younger generation has DVR. I've never had it nor cable as an adult except briefly in grad school. That said, I watch the games on replay on Watch ESPN when I can.

And that’s now Armando’s 6th straight double double and 11th this year, he keeps this up over the rest of the month and we may soon be talking about him breaking Brice’s single season record, Mando’s now falling in that category of guys we really love as we have gotten to watch him go through ups and downs and now develop into a really great force.

Now he just needs to be on a good team for once! Hopefully these guys keep improving.

The line I played when it opened was -5.5. Went off there, luckily made some there. I did not see a 7 except for here on our for fun game.

I lost playing us at ND, that game was only -2, thought and still do we should of covered that. Virginia is not seen as a good team at this point.

All around what makes me happy and to come back off the ledge from Wednesday was our ball movement today, that was right out of Dean and Roy’s playbook, constant ball movement, recognition of the doubles, less dribbling and the ball sticking and even when there was a look making an extra one or two for an even higher percentage one.

I wish this wasn’t a week where there is no weekday game because it would’ve been really nice to keep this same mentality rolling into another. But nothing we can do about that, either way the positive is the team has this script now of what they are capable of. Goodgame indeed... positivity for the team as well to end this UVA streak.

I'm going to have to upgrade my equipment. My black and white TV doesn't work so well unless I get the rabbit ears extension out. The damn Motorola 8900X-2 phone is too heavy for me to carry with my bad back and the VCR machine has a 25 year old tape stuck in it so it is basically worthless. Oh, my 8 track broke some years ago when I thought for sure a cassette tape would fit if I just gave an extra push. (and what is this cloud you mention, will it work if sunny skies are in the forecast?)
