Whataboutism is not the same thing as an ad hominem fallacy. Its a deflection tactic where you try to move the conversation to a discussion about the transgressions of the other side. So if I'm criticizing Trump and you say "But what about when Bill Clinton did (x)" that is whataboutism. Another way of looking at it, Roy Moore's actions don't make Anthony Weiner any less of a scumbag. And vice versa.

The conversation was clearly about the photo you posted. The article I shared with Louigi was a story about that photo being fake. He then replied saying he was doubtful. You replied saying he had admitted the photo was real. Any logical person would assume you were talking about the same photo that we were discussing. Not some other photo that you literally had not mentioned once up until that point.
You were wrong about that photo being real. Just admit it instead of trying to pretend like you were talking about something when any intelligent person can see that wasn't the case.

I was hoping there'd be a discussion on the pros/cons of the plan and debate the points as opposed to the people proposing the plan. I haven't gotten the chance to learn too much about it and would like to learn about it on its merits and not the tired old "oh a republican proposed it so it must be [perfect/garbage]"

Independent analysis has shown it will blow a 2 trillion dollar hole in the debt despite cutting funds to education and medicare. The top 1% of earners receive approximately half of the benefits of this plan, while a significant number of low and middle class earners will see an increase in their taxes. Its a good old fashioned subsidy for the rich. It cuts the corporate tax rate nearly in half, which is the most expensive aspect of the bill by far. It also allows American companies to take a deduction for expenses incurred when offshoring their production. The monopoly man himself couldn't have come up with a more corrupt tax plan than the one we're seeing in Congress right now. Its being pitched as boon for the middle class when it quite clearly will redistribute more wealth up to the top 1% of earners in an economy that is already beyond a sustainable point of inequality.
