Roy saw Zion last week

It's interesting that he used social media to announce when he was going to announce his decision. I'll be glad when it's over, regardless of the outcome.

Would love for Zion to be at UNC but I just feel Clemson is the better choice for him and UNC...Also the ACC...We already have Little...Either way UNC and Zion will be fine no matter what he does...
 
He of course needs to shave down some pounds and play at 240 instead of 270, when that happens his play will be off the charts..

I agree I watched him yesterday...Kid has the skill set to be very good...Also they played a team from Cali...They had a JR Big Man are we going after him...
 
Crystal Ball is strong for Clemson. His dad was Clemson. His mom would like him close to home. All that says Clemson with UNC and KY fighting to see which gets to be the matron of honor and which is just another pretty bridesmaid. I really hope I'm wrong. Zion would play just fine alongside Little. Look at the collection of talent at Duke and KY for goodness sake. Its not 1990 anymore.

What I was told today. I have no idea who this gentleman was & had never met him.
My son is playing a AAU tournament in Memphis this weekend. I was talking to a coach of a High School team a few hours ago. He coached a team out of South Carolina. I have no idea if any of this is true but he said Zion was picking UNC. Said his dad wants Clemson but his mom is a big fan of Roy & UNC.
He said next Sat is his moms birthday & he’s picking UNC on her birthday.
I still think it’s UK but I thought I’d pass it along to see if anyone here has heard similar or can confirm it’s his moms bday.

If he picks UNC it'll be the shocker of the recruiting season. Literally on no one's radar.

I think he's staying home which is what his Mom wants.

My source is solid - 90%- UNC. Roy knows ... family knows, major unc, clem boosters know. Z will be a Heel ...!!! Announcing Sat ...

The thing is every school's message board has a similar post claiming the same thing. Maybe he will be Tarheel, but I wouldn't bet on it.
 
This recruitment reminds me of Kevin Knox.
Every recruiting analyst thought he was headed to Dook. A few on here had sources saying he was a Heel. Turns out, he was going to UK the whole time.
 
In all honesty if i he had my ear i would recommend clemson. He would be bmoc and easily the most talented player on a decent acc team. It would be a nice showcase to earn a high draft pick. If thats what he wants. Now if hes happy with no pressure and being a little fish in a big pond then choose a blue blood. I’m not convinced he would even start here assuming noone leaves early and the hype on the incoming class is accurate, unless he plays great defense.
 
He says he's annoucing at 5 or 6 pm . Game times for each finalist next Saturday:
UNC- 2pm
Clemson - 4pm
Dook - 4pm
Kansas - 6pm
USC - 6pm
Kensucky 8:15pm

Possibly a halftime announcement deal with ESPN covering one of the 4pm games (Clemson)? It would match up with the 5pm 'ish announcement time.
