The Tar Heels' win over Louisville on Thursday was win number 747 for Roy Williams. With the win, Williams passed Kansas legend Phog Allen for 15th all-time among NCAA men's basketball coaches.
"I never even thought about that," Williams said of the feat. "It means I've been very fortunate to hang around a long time with tremendous young men like Brice Johnson. That's what it means, is I've been very fortunate to have big-time players that were wiling to take all my antics and screaming at them and turn around and play better basketball in the second half like Brice did today. I didn't realize that. That's pretty neat."
