Marquise is starting. I, for one, hope he plays as well as he did against Georgia Tech last year. Fedora got us over the UVA hump and I sure hope he can get the Atlanta monkey off our back too.
MW will start. Fed is far too determined to see himself as having been correct all along to start Trubisky, at least this early. But at least now we can be fairly certain that if MW looks against anybody else the way he did against SoCar, that Fed will send in Mitch rather than die with MW.
Wait just so I can add to the excuses list, now people aren't showing up to games because of who's starting at QB?My fear is that you and others are correct. Fedora's ego has given much favoritism to Williams last year and thus far this season and the offense is generally sluggish or filled with head scratchers. Seems to me that Mitch won the starting job on Saturday and it also seems that Fedora and staff should worry less about their egos and consider the team, the future of the coaches, wins/losses and the fans . . . butts in seats. The WR's were happy on Saturday and the all but possibly 1 member of team seemed excited . . . .
Full stadiums look better to recruits and have a huge impact on concessions/$$$$. Confused fan base may not be there due to frustration. Question is. does OBVIOUS need to beat us down before we make the right decision . . . or do we insist that it does.

Also, Fedora recruited Trubisky, not Marquise, so I don't think his "ego" is keeping Trubisky on the bench. I want Trubisky to start too, but Marquise DID single-handedly beat Tech last season. I'm interested to see how it plays out.
Yes, I'm saying a frustrated fan base is a significant part of attendance. Sounds like you may have a better reason for the 38,000-40,000 attendance, so please share your knowledge.Wait just so I can add to the excuses list, now people aren't showing up to games because of who's starting at QB?

Isn't that complicated. We have a front-runner fanbase. Look at basketball. If we drop a couple ACC games early in the season, attendance thins out like crazy.Yes, I'm saying a frustrated fan base is a significant part of attendance. Thanks in advance, it is appreciated.
