Shout Out....

Kid looked good for the time he was in . . I love his quickness.

Yeah he showed some great composure while he was in there. Didn't get many minutes in the 2nd half. Would have liked to have seen him a little more and perhaps a little less of Nate.
Without Hicks there were some weird looking lineups out there at times.

Britt did not play a single minute at PG in the game (Berry or Woods were at the point) and has Woods played a single minute all season at SG except maybe when Roy clears the bench at the end of games?

Relax. I didn't say bench Nate. Just liked what I saw of Woods in the 1st half. Would be interesting to see Woods and Berry on the court at the same time with Berry running the off guard position. In a game where you are missing a starter who plays a bunch(Hicks) you sometimes have to go with something a little different.

Woods was terrific last night - his best game of the ACC season. He won't quite be there next year but by the time he's a junior, he's going to be hard to handle.

7th has been player much better as of late, has been pretty darn solid for the last 5 or so games. I was very happy to see him come in to the most pressure you are going to find and step up to the plate. Above someone said he wanted to have seen more of 7th and less of Nate in this game, I agree, maybe run some 7th Joel back court, liked BRob in there as well and would have liked to have seen a bit more of him and his length at the 2 last night. Not throwing shade at Nate but he and Joel in together makes us a really small back court and dukes back court is a good bit longer allowing them to shoot over or pass over our smaller guys.

That pass he zipped in to Bradley in the first half was gorgeous. He and Theo were definitely some bright spots last night, along with Jackson (offense only)

Agreed - he sure has some quickness, great athletic gifts, looks pretty smooth and quicker instincts than almost anyone on his team.

It seems he also understands he is not a viable perimeter shooting option right now. I don't know how much or how well he shoots in practice, or what coaches have told him. But just on what we have seen in games including at FT line, his outside shot is bad from a fundamental structure standpoint. Seems they need to break that down and have him fix it - hopefully he can do that in one offseason.

He doesn't even need to become a "good" shooter. If he can become a "respectable" shooter, he have great success. Because there's nobody that's going to be able to stay in front of him once he learns a little bit more.
