It is sports ruled by Big Money. And the big money cannot be ignored because it talks - all the time, and very loudly.

All this has been brewing for most of this century. The problem for the ACC is that as potential revolution against the NCAA looms, with many assuming that the P5 leagues will become yet a third group within D1, the ACC is taking in the 5th most revenue annually. So the ACC is in the worst shape among the P5 to face uncertainties.

And ESPN seems quite content to keep the ACC paid very poorly.
