Adam Lucas has a great new article out on the Smith Center. As I read it, I realized that I'm not sure that I (maybe others out there feel the same) appreciated how effective, important, home court advantageous, etc that it was. I have never heard it mentioned as one of the toughest places to play. I think of all the times Roy challenges or calls out the fans (ie after Indiana). I have flashbacks to the wine and cheese times but the Smith Center and the fans were the 6th man this year. Recently in articles I have read and talking to Duke fans, the overwhelming thought is that you can't beat UNC at the Smith Center. The dookies say things like they have a chance in they play UNC again bc it wouldn't be at the Smith Center. The Duke and FSU games had to be some of the loudest I have ever heard in Chapel Hill.
