Hope they get things on track in the next couple days or I'm gonna have issues. I actually bought some Saturday at a station that was rationing; you could only get $10 worth. Now pretty much everyone is out.

I was able to get a fill up this morning and needed it (was running on fumes). However they only had regular and it came out of the pump extremely slowly. I assume that happens when the tank is running low?

Anyway, most places in Greensboro are charging about $2.15-$2.19 for regular, except I noticed one place that usually overcharges all the time anyway... And those greedy bastages were charging $2.49 !

Haven't checked today, but yesterday morning, my local station (just have two in town) didn't have regular, forcing people into the more expensive stuff. It wasn't a big deal since the car I was taking requires premium, but it was something like $.50 more a gallon for mid-grade (89) which I'm not sure is required by any cars.

I guess I'm out of the loop here. But why are stations running out of gas? I've heard nothing about this and there have been no issues where I live.

BTW, regular gas around these parts right now is $1.99.

Colonial Pipeline had a large leak and spill in their gasoline line in Alabama . . North Carolina only has one line running through the state and its affected by this leak.

I went out and got fuel for the car this morning at a BP station and they are rationing it 10 gallons per sale. Not the best of news for us folks vacationing on the coast.

There was a crack in a pipeline that supplies gas to most of the southeast, so while they repair it, gas will be in short supply and many retailers have raised the price over the past few days as well. I got gas last night, price increased by 3 cents from when I arrived to when I left.

I just lost my temper with with the fellow of Indian descent that owns the Exxon station in Benson. $2.85 a gallon with a limit of 10 gallons. I told him where he could stick his gas, his station and everyone in his family. Not kidding even a little. He started waiving his arms and yelling something in gibberish so I f-bombed him and walked out.

This place is too small to pull that crap. Payed $2.09 at the BP on 301. I hope that Exxon burns to the dirt with that dirt bag in it.

had no idea this was going on, other than my rewards station being out of 93 for the last month...fortunately i don't need 93 in an expedition.

however, a buddy of mine in atlanta posted on fb that there is no gas where he lives and he ran out...wth

Yep. There are some greedy a-holes in this world.

It was out all around Burlington this morning. My guess this is all from people panicking and that everything will be fine tonight or tomorrow.

I hope I'm not wrong because I only have about 150 miles left

On the way home from the game Saturday night we stopped in Led Zebulon and Sheetz was out but the Valero across the street had gas. I got to RM and filled up at the Kangaroo on corner of Sunset and Winstead with no problem. The wife is on the way home from Savannah hope there won't be a problem.

UPDATE: I couldn't stand it, so I called the Benson PD and spoke to the Chief. I told him what was going on and ask that since NCDOJ had said that gas gouging was illegal, and the CPA had just told me that $2.85 was definitely price gouging, wasn't there something the Benson PD could do about. He said that indeed there was and that he was headed down there as soon as we hung up. I hope they shut him down.

My son just called and said he had posted it on WRAL's FB page and Monica Laliberte was checking it.

RM?

Rocky Mount? Sunset and Winstead sounds like Rocky Mount to me.

I just filed a complaint with NC Consumer Protection for price gouging against that POS.

The governor has issued a state of emergency just to keep this kind of thing from happening. Once a state of emergency is issued people can get into trouble for price gouging.

Yep. I think we have discussed your Nash-Edgecombe past.
There was a guy on here, or maybe on blitz or radar, a few years ago who was from Spring Hope and Momeyer. Been a long time since I've seen those places, but I remember them well.

Saw on the news this morning where 2 stations in Guilford co. had been charged with price gouging. They had a toll free number to call if anyone suspected a station of doing it.

There is literally a mile long convoynof gas tankers waiting to get filled up at the fuel depot on the river here. Theres plenty of gas for them but the demand is so high from people panicking they cant fill up and deliver fast enough.

Everyone hit the panic button for no reason. My wife got gas yesterday. She said there were cars lined up down the street for another station but the one she went to had no wait. People are generally stupid these days.

I knew about it a little earlier than the general public so was able to get everything filled up a few days before they announced it. I may look on the way home and see if stations have it back yet though.

Yeah, I know people who were filling up all sorts of gas tanks and all that stuff. That is really why there is a shortage. Probably would have been ok if people would have just rolled like normal.

Its anazing how fragile the nations psyche is regarding gas prices. Hopefully terrorists never realize how much damage they can do by just disrupting the supply a little bit. Blow up a pipeline or a few oil rigs and prices would sky rocket and the economy take a nose dive.
