I know many are tired of talking about this, but IIRC, the due date for the response is Aug. 18th. After the response, what's going to happen next? Are we going into limbo for the next 8+ months like last time or will something else happen? For my health, I've stopped following most of this stuff and don't really know the process of the NCAA's decisions.

The Cliff's Notwes version:
If there’s a summary disposition, where the enforcement committee, the university, and anyone named in the NOA are in agreement on the basic facts and sanctions, the Committee on Infractions generally approves the summary disposition and the case is closed.
Knowing the NCAA, not gonna happen but...
as far as shortening the time frame for completion (and stopping the bleeding on the recruiting front) this is the preferred course, if it works in our favor..

If we (UNC) disagree with what the committee presents, then the hearing is the next step, and about that time that we get the final decision. We hope...

Not an expert on these things but I have felt all along in looking at this whole mess that we should expect an NCAA decision sometime in late winter/ early spring, say Feb. /march. Who really knows though!!!

Wait, You mean to tell me the NCAA overlook something additional findings on the Waintsein report? For which they had all along and never mention it in the NOA? This is straight BS. UNC should tell the NCAA to go straight to mutha French hell.

If the NCAA determines that the men's soccer recruiting issues are Level 1 or Level 2 violations, the NCAA would amend the current NOA. UNC would then have another 90 days to respond to the amended NOA.

We need a Gerald Henderson(bullied by a nose) , or a Lance Thomas(self-esteem destroyed after being taunted by unruly jewelry) or a Corey Magette (held down by a tyrannical system that insists we take our own tests), so we can say with the kind of angst only a vampire rat can summon, "Please, Mr. NCAA pay attention to the real victims here!"

Nothing like a tried and true methodology!

Heels are Fmily!

Y^eah but it should be a quick process, a simple admendement to the existing letter should do the trick. Considering how we self reported these latest items I doubt we will contend the punishment much if any at all. Pretty sure our reply will not change from what we already have prepared to submit and truth is it may already address these latest issues.

If anything these latest issues could soften the NCAA stance with us, I mean clearly our internal checks are working.

Now, those former women's bball players that were upset that the school was not being fair to the women's team, yeah, is that egg on your face fried, scrambled, or soft boiled? LOL

What they should do and what they will do are like day and night in this case. It wouldn't even surprise me if they take ANOTHER 90 DAYS to end this BS. I swear this administration is so hell bent on taking it up the arse by the NCAA as hard as they can!

Agreed!

I believe it was a setup by the NCAA. "Hey let's see if they catch this. If they don't we blow them up again in 2 years with it." It's planting evidence sort of.
